Hello,

Is this the right forum to make a request for the 'Docker' plugin?

We would like to restrict the Docker plugin to EasySocial pages only on our website.

We would like to move the placement of the Docker plugin to below our website navigation menu.

Can you advise as to how to make these changes to the docker plugin?

Thank you!
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Are you able to open NEW mobile pages and still be logged into ES?

Yes, I did tried access your website in my mobile phone today, it still show logged in without ask me to login again. I did mentioned in earlier, your Joomla session is actually set quite long, the user login session should be able to pass more than 24 hour.

When you click on an email notification in mobile, are you redirected to a logged in ES page?

This one I have to test it for another day because I logged in as your debug user account which not link to my email address.
And I did created an user account from your site which link to my email address, I will keep you update regarding this result.

Hello Meagan,

Currently it is not possible to restrict docker on specific pages but we are working on it and this feature will be available in the next update of Docker.

As for moving the docker, I am sorry but unfortunately this is beyond the scope of our support policy as we do not provide support for customization. Having said that, I don't think it makes sense for you to place the docker underneath your navigation because as you scroll, the docker would actually need to be sticked to the top and it would cause your site's layout to look really weird.

Thanks, Mark!

We're updating our bSmartGuide.com homepage to have this simple 3-strip design: http://meagan873.wixsite.com/mysite

Our website has 3 platforms: 1) Content (Learn), 2) Community (Connect), and 3) Commerce (Promote).

How much would it cost for you to prioritize updating Docker to restrict this plugin on the homepage?

As a side note, we're extremely impressed with the mobile responsive interface of EasySocial + Docker and prefer it over the EasySocial app by App Carver. Do you have an 'app skin' you offer for people to navigate to the EasySocial website application via smart phone and tablet? (Users like to have one-click access from their devices.)

Congratulations on creating such a wonderful application.

Hello Meagan,

I believe it would require us about 2 hours to add this functionality into the plugin and if you are willing to fund this, you could write to us at https://crm.stackideas.com and we'll send the quote over

As for the "mobile skins", we are going to be pushing out something new (hopefully this week) before the year ends. Do check out our blog for new updates on that

Thank you, Mark!

I have just submitted a ticket on https://crm.stackideas.com requesting a quote for the customization of restricting Docker to certain pages (and module placement flexibility, if possible).

I recommend you provide a release update once you do the customization as I know other Docker users need this as well.

That's great news about the "mobile skins" for smart phone and tablet. I know our users would prefer 1-click navigation to our website.

Regarding mobile usage:

Do you have a solution for how smart phone and tablet users can remain logged in and/or have their username/password remain populated in the docker plugin and login page?

Our mobile users are automatically logged off every 24 hours (even if they check the box "Keep me logged in") and their login details are not populated in Docker / ES login page.

Thank you for helping us provide ES to our mobile users!

I've checked in your site, it seems like you already set your session lifetime very higher, it shouldn't automatically logout in 24 hours, I still testing on my mobile device, will update you later.

Those login details will not automatically show out in the login field, unless you have accept your current browser to stored your login details after you login through your mobile, so when you load the same website, it will only populate those login details into these login field.

Thanks, Alex.

Keeping users logged into smart phone and tablet (without having to remember their password) is what they're asking for.

Thank you for checking!

Hello Alex,

I have 1 more Docker plug question -

Where is the Docker 'search bar' on mobile? It disappears for me.

Thank you!

I just checked on my mobile phone, it still appeared logged in your website from my mobile.
Hm, I am not really sure how to show him regarding this result, but this is true as what I logged in your site since yesterday 3pm ++ here until now 5.24pm.

Thanks for reported, it seems like there no more space to display that search input field, I will create a ticket to our designer regarding this, will update you once we fix this.

***************Please do check after 24 - 48 hours. ALL of our users get logged out after 1-2 days of idle activity. Staying logged in is what they need because they forget their password.

***********Great. Maybe suggest to your designer to enter a 'Magnifying glass' icon that can provide a pop-up or pop-down full width search bar. Searching on mobile is very important for our users.

Thank you!

Hi Meagan,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. Please find my answers from your inquiries below.

To be honest EasySocial does not control on how and when the user should automatically logout as it directly based on the joomla login session and browser cache/session lifetime.

Do you have an update on providing a mobile skin?

Kindly refer to this blog post about the update on mobile web apps skin, https://stackideas.com/blog/ending-the-year-of-2016-with-a-big-bang-1 .

Great. Maybe suggest to your designer to enter a 'Magnifying glass' icon that can provide a pop-up or pop-down full width search bar. Searching on mobile is very important for our users.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll let the designers know about this.

For us to troubleshoot -

Are you able to open NEW mobile pages and still be logged into ES?

When you click on an email notification in mobile, are you redirected to a logged in ES page?

Hi Arlex!

I figured out the problem. My iPhone (and other users) was set to 'Private' for safari browsing which was not storing my login details.

Now that I've removed the setting, I am remaining logged in and can access email alert pages.

*We're going to amend our welcome email + notification emails to users to let them know.
