Hello! I would like to know if it is possible to upload an app that I would develop to my EasySocial website without becoming an EasySocial developer. I've seen that in the application section of EasySocial it is written: "You may install apps that you have downloaded or purchased from extension developers here." But what if I want to upload an app only for my website's use that is not available to anyone else?
If so, I would love to know how. In which language it should be written, should I use a certain development environment? e.t.c
If that is not the case, what alternatives do I have in order to integrate an app that is unique to my EasySocial website? I want it to be fully synced with notifications, stream and all.
Please keep in mind I am beginner and I would love that you may keep your answer detailed and do not assume that I know what you're talking about. Thanks!
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Do you mean you would like to build your own app?

If yes, you actually need to check one of our existing app and see the concept how to build an Easysocial app.

You can take a look this blog app here : http://stackideas.com/apps/item/5-blog

By the way, what kind of app you would like to build?

Hi I can't install in my Joomla the "blog_1.0.24 file" downloaded from http://stackideas.com/apps/item/5-blog , the system tells me this:
JInstaller: :Install: Not possible to find the the Joomla XML setup file
Do you know how can I install it please?

Also I would like to ask the same question of NIKITAS CHATZIPAZARLIS because I think the reply is not clear at all and doesn't tell anything about how to do it. I am also a beginner, although I use and set my joomla websites by myself, but in terms of app, it is a totally different world.
I would like to create an app about my easysocial website and tell all my audience to download it and use it on their mobile devices.
I really have no idea how can I do that because it is written nowhere I could find. I bought easysocial because of that and I aim to to that in the next days.
Thank you in advance and best regards.

Hi Lorenzo Barichella,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply. Kindly please find my response to your inquiries below:
JInstaller: :Install: Not possible to find the the Joomla XML setup file
Do you know how can I install it please?

-> Actually this all of EasySocial apps (eg: blog_1.0.24 ) as you linked above need to be installed in the application section by:
1. Click EasySocial>Applications>Install
(refer my attached image)
Seems like you do not have license for EasyBlog, Is there any mistake on our end? Would it be possible for you to contact us at https://crm.stackideas.com and provide us with the order reference and your username so that we can fix this up for you?
In order you want the Easyblog apps working/integrated with EasySocial, you also need to install EasyBlog components as well

I would like to create an app about my easysocial website and tell all my audience to download it and use it on their mobile devices.

-> I'm bit lost here. Do you mean, you want to create your own EasySocial app like Facebook app? Unfortunately, we do not have own mobile apps same as Facebook currently. However, you can tried AppCarvers one of our collaborate mobile application that available in Playstore/Appstore http://appcarvers.com/products/easysocial-app

Hope this helps.
Please let us know if you need further assistance. Cheers!

So do I need to actually get a license to upload my own app to EasySocial or are you talking specifically about uploading apps downloaded from stackideas?
Also, Lorenzo Barichella I think what he ment by downloading it, is that you should take a look in the zip file to understand what you need to do to develop an app just like that one. But I would have to agree that this doesn't really do anything for a begginer. What I ment in my first question was from where to start in order to develop an app, and if there's a certain pattern I must follow in order for my app to work in full sinc with EasySocial(notifications, stream, etc.)

Hi NIKITAS CHATZIPAZARLIS,

You no need to get the license as you want to create your own application within EasySocial. What Lorenzo asked about is different in what you want to achieve, where he want to install the EasyBlog 1.0.24 application from http://stackideas.com/apps/item/5-blog in the EasySocial , because the apps that he want to install in need to have the EasyBlog components to make it functions.

Back to your inquiry, where you want to develop your own EasySocial application right? You can simply follow this documentation on how to make an application Getting Started to Develop Easysocial's Application
