Custom field autocomplete

Hi,

i am member of a social network (home made with phython), i like how they handle the profiles fields,
i a the "Software" field when we start taping the system show all existing software names wich start with same letters, the SI team already integrated that in custom fields but we must enter all choices !

there is perhaps a way to query the database tables to get the existing choices already entered by users !

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it weekends for all of us here.

Unfortunately it is not possible to automatically add the choices entered by the user itself currently in easysocial.

Yes i know actualy its not possible
i am suggesting an option in custom fields to auto complete based in existing data,
for example in skills custom field when people start taping "Grap" they get some skills already used by other members, for ex "graphic designer" "graphic expert" etc.

Ah I see. If that so I will move this thread to feature request category.

I guess what you are suggest here can be a lot of help for other site admin to gather the data entered by their users and auto populate the data inside custom field. Hence the site admin will not go through the hassle to edit and add a new data from the backend. It quite tedious to achieve this but we will see what we can do about it.

Ive had this request in for a while(http://stackideas.com/forums/auto-completion-custom-field), it would be a great addition/enhancement to ES.

This is already possible in EasySocial 1.4 We have added a new auto complete field.
