I think you are expecting the software to perform specific "macro" that suits your needs and unfortunately we can't add this into the extension to accommodate for your workflow. It just doesn't sound and work right.

Based on what I understand of your requirements, if you are talking about automation, wouldn't it make sense if you post a video on Vimeo and that video also get's posted on EasySocial?

Cross component categories will not and will never work. Why? Try to click on a category on a blog and compare the output of the items versus clicking on a category of a group. They all behave and work differently. Let alone, it is impossible to perform pagination on foreign objects.

I really appreciate that you take the time to deal with stuff like this.
And yes I understand that you can not/should not make every one happy.
I am really talking about site navigation and it not breaking down.

i.e. Post an article in a group/ post video in an article/view videos on a video page.

As of now things break for me going from a video to a related article.

This is me just thinking aloud here:
If some one goes to a video page and if the video is related to a blog article I think it is reasonable to “expect” a hyper link.
In a sense the lack of a hyper link from a video on the video pages is as far as I can see the only thing missing in this work flow!

Yes it would be nice to be able to add links for “Previous Video” & “Next Video”.
But I can work around this with playlist if required so it is not the end of the world.

With respect to Stackideas video functions.
Yes I want to use all that stuff that you and your team implemented.
However I am not ready to go down that road:

a) I am hosted at site ground and to the best of my knowledge they still do not support the “ffmpeg” side of things.
b) Even if I could find an alternative they would probably be too expensive for me as of now
c) If I get Vimeo Plus I have “Domain Level Privacy” which I guess means that I can say that the videos are only viewable on finalBUG.net.

That is the plan as of now.
I think if I could get this one link thing working the Stackideas eco system would work for me.
Then I have to think about where to put the gate for the gateway!?!
Intuitively I can not help thinking that the entrance to Group ABC would be the best place for this.

One more thing.
With respect to categories and this is with no knowledge of code etc.
This is just me thinking aloud here.
What about “Smart Categories” just as you have “Smart Folders” on the finder level of Mac OS X.

b) Link to Previous/Next video would be very nice to have.

Second Question

A better Category system. Just throwing the idea out there if something like this might be a solution at some point!?!

As I understand, basically all you just want is the ability to insert hyperlinks in video description . I really don't understand why do you like to post such lengthy posts. It really turns me off.
