Hi

Purchased the charm template and like what i see as a starter.

However, Several points i cant get to grasps with

  • First off if i choose custom presets - and activate custom style, no matter which items colour i change absolutely nothing changes upon clicking save it stays the same, tried clearing cache etc no change at all
  • Secondly if i stay on preset 1 which is default the menu item hover colour fades the menu text to white which is the same as the background colour thus becomes invisible??
  • Also i notice on the login form it does not fade in as per your demo and i cant find a setting for that
  • And also, it looks awful if Form data is pre filled, i.e user saves login details, when it prepopulates the from data, its overwritten over the placeholder text until the uses touches the curso on the page anywhere. I can probably write custom overides but wanted to highlight this
  • I Presume we have no choice in the text font we may wish to use or size unless we write a custom css as there are no options for this in the helix ultimate customiser, in fact i notice in your template, the sidebar options for Typography and Mega Menu and ajax ratings are not visible, did you remove the ability for customers to change these parts? As theat was never mentioned in the pre sales blurb
  • Ive also noticed that with sticky header applied on the homepage it works perfectly on desktop, however on mobile and also when testing using chrome developer tools it does not stay sticky but instead half of the header scrolls off the page and then it sticks with half the bar missing

Then on a seperate note and these may be classed as feature request but whats the chances of the following being considered:

I have the docker app which i like however the new nav bar you have implemented works well for everything except quick post is obviously not included which was a great feature. Its not the end of the world but no point in having both the docker and this bar active as its a waste of usuable space

And Finally

I like the idea of the dark / light theme toggle and on a desktop it works really well. However on mobile it annoys me (and it may just be me) as it overlays over any text underneath. Now i appreciate its transparent however it could be a user nightmare when for example they click on toggle sidebar and the option they want is sitting underneath the dark /light toggle. I know for now i could move it to the right hand side as less likely to bug people, but maybe this option should have been put on the navbar (easysocial nav not the menu bar) above rather than the body of the page.
Hi Andy,

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused. Please find the answers for your inquiries below.

> 1. First off if i choose custom presets - and activate custom style, no matter which items colour i change absolutely nothing changes upon clicking save it stays the same, tried clearing cache etc no change at all.

By default it should start re-compile the changes upon saving. Could you provide us with backend and FTP access for further inspection and assist you resolving this issue.

> 2. Secondly if i stay on preset 1 which is default the menu item hover colour fades the menu text to white which is the same as the background colour thus becomes invisible??

Based on your explanation, I suspected that the compiler is not running correctly. Could you provide us with backend and FTP access for further inspection and assist you resolving this issue.

> 3. Also i notice on the login form it does not fade in as per your demo and i cant find a setting for that.

There is no setting to enable/disable this behavior. It is by default will be fading upon scrolling. I suspected there is a plugin that conflicting with Charm template or a javascript error on your site. Could you provide us with backend and FTP access for further inspection and assist you resolving this issue.

> 4. And also, it looks awful if Form data is pre filled, i.e user saves login details, when it prepopulates the from data, its overwritten over the placeholder text until the uses touches the curso on the page anywhere. I can probably write custom overides but wanted to highlight this

This is a known issue it is already fixed internally and it will be in the next release. We're happy to provide you with the patch to fix this issue.

> 5. I Presume we have no choice in the text font we may wish to use or size unless we write a custom css as there are no options for this in the helix ultimate customiser, in fact i notice in your template, the sidebar options for Typography and Mega Menu and ajax ratings are not visible, did you remove the ability for customers to change these parts? We have removed the typography option for this template. However, Im not sure what do you mean by "Mega Menu and ajax ratings are not visible" in the same context with typography.

You can actually create mega menu item while creating new menu: http://take.ms/byXtT and you can rate the article of your choice here: http://take.ms/4Cugs . If I misunderstand your issue, perhaps you can explain more and provide us with appropriate screenshot.

> 6. Ive also noticed that with sticky header applied on the homepage it works perfectly on desktop, however on mobile and also when testing using chrome developer tools it does not stay sticky but instead half of the header scrolls off the page and then it sticks with half the bar missing

Im not sure how to replicate this issue as I have tested this locally, all works fine. Please watch my video screenshot: http://take.ms/Oitrp .

> 7. I have the docker app which i like however the new nav bar you have implemented works well for everything except quick post is obviously not included which was a great feature. Im not sure what do you mean by "except quick post is obviously not included which was a great feature". I believe the quick post on docker is displaying correctly here: http://take.ms/2WrCk . If I misunderstand your issue, perhaps you can explain more and provide us with appropriate screenshot.

Thanks for your input. However, moving the lightmode toggle button under EasySocial toolbar is not a good fix in the long run. This later will raised another issue where if another user decides not to show the EasySocial toolbar, then the lightmode toggle will not be available.

Perhaps, making the toggle button smaller might address this issue? You can create a separate ticket on this request in the feature request section and lets continue discussion there.

Thanks and please advise.

Hi.

Backend access has already been provided and was included in original post.

Yes it's definitely not compiling by the look of it.

Reference login box. This must be conflicting withe sp page builder as it's the only thing assigned and loaded but no errors showing in console.

Can you advise why typography settings were removed. Seems a bit extreme to remove this option for the user .

Reference mega menu and Ajax ratings. According to helix ultimate documentation there are settings options in the helix template config area. However just like you have removed the typography settings options these options are also not avaliable in the configuration area.

Reference quick post.

As stated not an issue. As your screen shot confirmed exactly what I highlighted. The docker bar app and the included nav bar have all the same features except docker has the quick post feature.

Having both displayed is bad user experience and create confusion hence feature request to add the quick post option into template navbar.

For now I'll just disable docker bar as it's not a big problem.

Hi there,

I have failed to login to your backend. Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Regarding template typography, the reason why we've removed it is because this template was designed to use Karla and Meddon fonts. It suits this template very well by making the template looks elegant.

> Reference mega menu and Ajax ratings. According to helix ultimate documentation there are settings options in the helix template config area. However just like you have removed the typography settings options these options are also not avaliable in the configuration area.

I have checked the helix ultimate documentation for mega menu, there is no setting for mega menu in template option: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/helix-framework/helixultimate#mega-menu-builder . And rating documentation, there is no setting in template option: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/helix-framework/helixultimate#ajax-rating . Am I missing anything here?

Regarding docker quick post, we cannot integrate it with the template since it is a separate entities. So, you'll need to do customization to achieve this.

Thanks and please advise.

Hi there,

Getting back to your issues:

> 1. First off if i choose custom presets - and activate custom style, no matter which items colour i change absolutely nothing changes upon clicking save it stays the same, tried clearing cache etc no change at all.

I have tested on your site and all seems to be working fine. Here is my video screenshot: http://take.ms/uoWch . Am I missing anything here?

> 2. Secondly if i stay on preset 1 which is default the menu item hover colour fades the menu text to white which is the same as the background colour thus becomes invisible??

I have inspected this issue and all seems to be working fine. Please watch my video screenshot: http://take.ms/94ART . Am I missing anything here?

> 3. Also i notice on the login form it does not fade in as per your demo and i cant find a setting for that.

I have inspected your site and it seems like you're using EasySocial logbox module. Currently, the fade behaviour only applicable for the default EasySocial login box. https://transfix.click/index.php?option=com_easysocial&view=login . The behaviour cannot be applied on the module as it can be placed in any position on the site. You'll need to add your own custom JS on the logbox to achieve that.

Thanks and please advise.

The customiser does not reflect real time so wheter this is a cache issue in the browser but even after clearing cache and refreshing it does not update so ever a HU issue or cache issue after several saves if i goto the front end it appears in part

Im sorry but i dont get what you are referring to on the homepage as default is your login module not the one you screenshot

You can see on the homepage that it just sits there and vanishes under parralex items also.

I never mentioned animating the login box you were referring to at all

If i create a module like you state using Login Box, nothing appears at all, assigned to home page, public.

I will play about and see if i can find whats up

Hi Andy,

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Helix Ultimate utilizes site caches hence, each time you changed the styling, it will check whether there is any caches stored on the site. Perhaps, we could introduced development option to overcome this. However, as for now, try lower the caches time from your site's configuration: http://take.ms/a9MrD . I really hope this work.

I am sorry for the confusion. Regarding your inquiry on "login form it does not fade in as per your demo", it is because the fading effect only applicable on the default EasySocial login box and it is actually a part of the content from EasySocial dashboard and login page.

The reason why your login box on your homepage doesn't faded upon scrolling is because you're actually using EasySocial Log Box module to display it. This is how it should be appeared on your site. http://take.ms/T4ZWC .

Please visit our demo page on this link: http://charm.stackideas.com and you'll see that the login box design is much different from your homepage. http://take.ms/btUcd .

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you needs extra information on this.
