Call to a member function getType() on string when I open Events

Hi, after having upgraded to version 4.01 I get this error (Call to a member function getType() on string) when I try to open the link to the events page. Everything else works just fine but when I click on events, then I get a broken page with this error message. Any idea what I can do to solve this?
I suspect you have template override file created before which not compatible with Easysocial 4.

Can you check whether your current template directory has any Easysocial files added?

JoomlaFolder/templates/yourCurrentTemplate/html/com_easysocial/...

If yes, then temporarily rename the folder and see how it goes.

If the issue still persists, can you update your site backend and FTP access at https://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?
