We have a user that has blocked someone but is concerned as that person is showing in the "Friends suggestion" module - not sure if this is a bug or feature but really if you block someone you should not be able to see anything of their existence on the site, and vice versa.
Hi there,

Purpose of block is to make sure that those users(blocked) will not see you and you will always see him through-out the site. You as the one who block will see and other user that been blocked will not see you, that how it should behave currently.

It is purposely to shown like that because, somehow, miracle happened and you(initially blocked this user) can revert this action again.

Thanks for your understanding.

No, it causes distress for our users. If they block someone they don't want any contact and especially not have them suggested as friends! In terms of if you change your mind, then that should be done from a list of blocked users where you can see who you blocked and have the option to un-block them.

There is a feature request on this at https://stackideas.com/forums/two-way-blocking so I hope you will take that into consideration (it's how Facebook does it...)

Perhaps this is something that going forward can be added as an EasySocial configuration, so site owners can select between either one way or two way blocking? That should keep everyone happy (assuming there are people out there that want the one way option.)
