Hello,

i discovered this "thing" recently with a friend of me (Marketer), it increase users and visitors trust in your website, its name is userproof, a kind of popup widget that how every few seconds other users action in the website (XX people are visiting this page, John DOE is just registred to this website, just purchased XX).

Please visit their website for a live demo and check the screenshots bellow.

I BELIEVE that a similar plugin or app here will boost websites notoriety and activities, i am sure that it will be number ONE joomla top seller extension. It can be a general extension for joomla to show general activities (X people see this page).

But the most interested guys is a widget to show all SI extensions activities :
Examples :

  • John Doe just joined the community,
  • Mark repplied to John discussion
    XX commented photo YY
    Peper created new discussion
    Etc.

The idea is to show recent activities in last 60mn for example, every few seconds.
You already made a similar widget for comments !! here a screenshot from SI blog official.

We need to show ES stream activities in this widget !!!

dont know what do you think about this idea !!?
I am very excited for this one !

You are sawing it as joomla extension (like ED, EB) or ES app compatible with other SI extensions (convert stream action to widget) ?

This would be great extension - it would show -> Hello world our site is living.... Idea -> why not to crowdfund ideas like this .
https://www.tassos.gr/joomla-extensions/engagebox - I think for him it would be piece of cake to develop it

Hi Pavol,

i use Engagebox from Tassos, its great extension.
i think that wan be a separate product, but for stackideas here they know their product more then others to show all their extensions activities in a sleek widget, as in comments with easyblog.

Engagebox is a nice tool but I don't see how userproof is any different from an Easysocial stream module?

Hi Paul,

userproof in its actual use show leads and purchase actions based on a subscription form, its inspect when a new person register and just show in popup that M. XX joined, or purchased, or other action. It have a geolocation feature and add location to the popup.

ES stream module must be add somewhere (sidebar, bottom ..) of a page and its fixed.

An extension that show all SI extensions actions by users (as we have some informations of them like name) in a nice widget in the same style of userproof will increase visitors trust and proove them that THIS website or community is very active and should join it.

We can go further and have this X extension compatible with e-commerce extensions to show recent users purchases for example.

I believe a similar product with this idea can be a best seller, your are showing to visitors that stay few seconds on your website website real activities and give them a reason to join. Those activities are already here but not much visible, people dont car about all pages content, some times they just visit a page for 5 or 6 seconds and then leave.

So give them a reason to join an active community or ecommerce website.

so even leaving aside privacy issues for the moment, couldn't you just add ecommerce actions to the ES Stream? And for positioning couldn't you just add the ES Module to a modal and set it to whatever parameters you wanted like with Engagebox?

I'm not trying to be argumentative I just don't see any substantial difference and would rather see enhancements on something that already exists rather that reinventing the wheel to get something that basically exists anyway.
