Auto join group when user reach user points (with Profile Unlocker) [MOVED]

Suggestion is (with Profile Unlocker app or without): when user get XXXX user points, user will auto join group.


Hello. I’m interesting is it any solution (may be some App) that allow user join group automatically if this user get 100 user points or get some specific badge, or another way?

I know only one way — this user should register with some specific profile type and he will join group automatically.
But if user already registered is it possible to do something? Any Requirement (condition) would be good.

P.S: or may be user can autojoin group when his registered more than 30 days ago for example?

Beside through profile type, I believe the profile unlocker app here may be able to achieve what you are aiming for.

It allows the system to auto switch user's profile type when they reach a certain points threshold. So when the new profile type contains the 'auto-join' groups that you set, the user will automatically join its groups.

It would be great if Profile Unlocker works this way.

But seems, if profile type will be changed (by Profile Unlocker) it will not add member to group.
Like it doesn't add member to group when Superuser manually change profile type.

It is the correct behavior. This only affects for when there is a new user registration for the profile type.


So it will not work as expected?
or it's a bug that changing profile type doesn't change (add) user to group?

Hey Dmitry,

After checking the code, yes that is the case. The profile unlocker app will not auto add users to groups just like manually switching profile types. This means the auto join group function will not be triggered, it only triggers during registration.

This is not a bug. Just limited functionality with the app/feature.

Hey User,

It is still not possible. The latest update is only a bug fix to allow multiple selection in the exclusion setting.
