Hello SI Team

Is it normal that I can not add/approve someone who is going to an Event in an Events back end?

Am I missing something?

eg I am trying to approve "Sabine"

kinky advise

Thanks

Paul

The 'Approve guests' is to approve the guests that request to join a closed event.

Yes, it can't add someone who is going to an event in the backend directly.

Oh well, that seems like a pity but if it can not be done then it can not be done

thanks

I don't see there is make sense to allow site admin to add someone who is attending the event in the backend as the users should check in by themselves if they want to go.

Imagine if the users have been added that he is going to the event by someone without his permission, this will give a bad impression for him.

Sorry about taking 2 weeks to respond.

Honestly this is the first Event I organised using Easy Social. In the past I used to send an email out to about 500 people! Best case scenario 20 people came.

Anyway the people who come to my Events:

- have an average age of 55.
- they use Apple Macs and are used to extra simple one click work flows
- Most of them know me for 10 years plus and are lazy = ask me if I can sign them up.

I have no idea how typical I am but at least in my case it would be cool if I could sign people up.

FYI if I wanted fake users for an event/fake event I would probably use something like this:

https://www.nordmograph.com/extensions/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=85&virtuemart_category_id=15

Imagine if the users have been added that he is going to the event by someone without his permission, this will give a bad impression for him.

This would not happen in the world that I move as it is a very small world where everyone knows everyone.

But that is just my world.

For me at least it would be a cool feature to be able to add some members for an Event.

just saying
