I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Regarding the missing language strings in the app, this will be addressed in the next update of the app. Temporarily, add the following language strings into /administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.plg_app_user_discuss.ini

As for your second issue, I tried this locally and I can't seem to create a discussion if I don't enter a valid title and content as you can see here, http://screencast.com/t/h4ejHUpSy . Perhaps this could be due to the older version of the Discuss app on your site.

I just confirmed this with our developer, Ezrul and it seems like this is a known issue which is already fixed internally. Please wait for an update shortly once we release 4.0.5, we'll also be updating the EasyDiscuss user and group app for EasySocial.

Yes, that is the built in app for Group discussions in EasySocial. If you have the EasyDiscuss group app installed, there will be a new app

You can turn off the built in discussions within EasySocial itself As for the sorting, unfortunately right now this cannot be sorted
