Reviewed the following ticket; as it was closely similar to what I was attempting.

https://stackideas.com/forums/hide-the-accept-as-answer-option

Unfortunately, after completing both actions mentioned in this ticket, I still have registered users seeing "accept the answer".
Then when they click on you first get transferred to the 404 error-page. If you click the back button it then states user doesn't have permission for this action.

How can I simply hide this or what I was doing is correct and simply need to apply a small fix?

The final outcome would be to have the "Accept As Answer" be visible for any entries made by the user only who created the ticket.
It seems like another our user also encounter this issue, can you try download my patch fix files from this thread and see how it goes?

Placed all of the docs in the proper location and it seemed to work. - thanks

One last thing, does this mean that if a member begins a thread they are not able to place "resolved" accept as answer", etc?

Can it be tailored per member who placed the ticket "forum"?

Hi there,

One last thing, does this mean that if a member begins a thread they are not able to place "resolved" accept as answer", etc?

They are able to mark those post as resolved as long as those post's categories can be moderated by user's groups itself, as you can see here http://take.ms/9Inro.

Please give it a try and see how it goes

HI, Abdul

What I mean is it possible for the member to only "accept as answer" for a post they created.

Instead, I think you meant the member of a group can "accept as answer" or moderate any posts within that group and/or category.

I like it to be similar to what you all have here on your forums, where solely the individual who created the ticket can "accept as answer" "mark resolved" or any other terminology used to close the ticket.

Hi there,

Sorry for not explain it clearly. Actually, yes that what i meant. As currently, we only can manage them by each user groups only. It is not possible to configure to 'accept as answer' for their created post.

Thanks for your understanding

Unfortunately, that's what I thought...

Okay, have already placed a feature request here:

https://stackideas.com/forums/member-who-posted-the-forum-individual-question-allowed-to-accept-as-answer-their-own-posts

Thanks for your help on the other.

Hi there,

Thanks for your understanding

As a gentle reminder, kindly start a new thread if you have any other issue in the future so it will be easier for us to manage your inquiry. I will lock and mark this thread as resolved.
