EasyArticles Community Preview

After months of toiling and multitasking along with EasySocial 2.1, the team managed to put together our very first version of EasyArticles. Since the initial introduction of EasyArticles, we have been receiving positive feedback and inquiries, which were very encouraging for the team and we greatly appreciate it.

The idea behind EasyArticles is to simplify your day to day operations when dealing with articles on Joomla. Hit the brakes to read more about the highlights & functionalities of EasyArticles, the next generation article management for Joomla.

Minimalist Composer

With our combined years of experience dealing with designs and workflows specifically for authors, the team came up with an absolutely elegant and easy on the eyes tool for your authors. This minimalist approach is to get your authors focused on generating beautiful posts while leaving the hard work and effort to the software.

Post Templates

This is by far the most used functionality in EasyBlog and we have ported it into EasyArticles to simplify authors day to day authoring process. This is especially useful to those who works on multiple posts continuously. Not only does it save time, it also comes in handy when your site has wide a variety of posts.

Compatibility With 3rd Party Templates

Posts that are created from EasyArticles are stored as Joomla articles on the site. Because of that, you can be sure that it will work out of the box with most (if not all) 3rd party template providers without any compromise at all. Your posts would look exactly as designed by the template providers.

Location Tagging

Ever needed to add locations in your article? With EasyArticles, it's possible to tag multiple locations using the built-in Google Maps integration. Simply type in the name of the location that you want and pick the place to tag.

Content Importers

Getting authors to write on your site is an ongoing process because the more writers you have, the larger your target audience would be. Because we know that it is not easy to get authors to your site, EasyArticles will also be having content importers where you can setup multiple RSS feeds to import content from.

Not only can this be done by the site admin, you could configure the ACL to allow your authors to set up these content importers as well. That way, your authors could easily import their publications from other sites.

Authoring Workflow

One of the most common issue that users were facing using Joomla articles was the lack of proper authoring workflow. Moderating and supervising pending posts isn't as easy as it seems. With EasyArticles, we have a proper structured workflow running in place to ease the overall composing to publishing experience. Now moderating and managing articles would be as easy as A, B, C.

Email & Push Notifications

One of the most crucial aspect that is missing in Joomla articles is the ability to allow users to subscribe to posts or the site. With the built in e-mail notifications functionality in EasyArticles, handling subscribers would be a breeze.

Not only does it handle e-mail notifications, it also integrates with OneSignal for push notifications. Your subscribers will never have to miss another important announcement or article creation ever again.

Author Oriented Dashboard

The dashboard in EasyArticles will be oriented towards your authors. With its integration with Google Analytics, allowing you to have a bird's eye view of the site's progress. The dashboard is also packed with front end management tools that are configurable in the ACL section.

Wouldn't it be nice if your authors are able to manage categories, tags and their content importers directly from the front end?

Media Management

The media manager in EasyArticles is also adopted from EasyBlog and we can't seem to find any particular reason not to include this amazing media manager into EasyArticlesWe implemented the core idea and mechanism to allow it to work natively in EasyArticles. Now we have a media manager that just works!

The media manager will segregate user's media items while still having the ability to have a shared area where authors could contribute theirs.

Auto Postings

With the automated posting in EasyArticles, posting to multiple social media accounts is now hassle free. You can now automatically post to Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn whenever a post is published.

Content Versioning

Harnessing the power of Joomla content versioning, EasyArticles will also have content versioning but in a more simplified and user friendly manner. Comparing, previewing and managing revisions will be a breeze for your authors.
