Yes that problem resurfaced with the new version. It was fine with the older version.

For some reason, the embedded video is using the http link even if https link is posted.

Hey guys,

This is a quick fix that I can supply currently but I am not really happy that I have to hardcode specifically for Youtube. It's going to be insane if your users try to share other video provider links and we need to actually check if they support https or not

To temporarily fix your https site, download the attached file and upload it into /media/com_easysocial/apps/user/links/

For instance, Vimeo does not support https http://stackoverflow.com/questions/21119351/embed-vimeo-video-on-secure-site . There's nothing we can do to fix this unless we write a proxy to stream the video but that would be really very insane and extremely heavy on the server
