I have a user that that just reported what looked like a bug. I had actually also seen it earlier today but dint' think much of it except that he is struggling to get it working properly.

Here is the problem. He created a profile and then uploads his image and the image is loading because if you click on his icon you can then see the real image. But, it is not displaying.

He created the following profile page: https://www.starch-smart.com/social/profile/wholefoodplantbasedspeaker

His name is Harry selent

The Avatar that is displaying is a walnut. But, if you click on that walnut then his uploaded picture displays. The walnut should NOT be his avatar.

Here is the messages he sent to me:

First message:
i cant change my avatar... i uploaded it and selected it, but it wont update

Second message:
i tried chaning by clicking on my profile; edit avatar; it looks like it works but does not update or show. it still shows a nut as avatar

then i went to my profile;m appearance ; and changing it there and get error "There was some error in your form. Please correct the respective fields."; if i scroll down, WAY ON DOWN the page where is says SAQVE; or SAVE and CLOSE, there is a red button on left that says

Please enter a valid captcha response."; but there is no visible captcha entry

Hi there,

After checking on your site, maybe the issues comes from Amazon s3 storage. Can you provide us with your Amazon S3 credentials for further check on this issues? You can put them at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site under "optional information".

I put that information into the Additional Details field. I believe that is what you wanted. I did not find "optional information".

Thanks so much for looking into this!

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Another hint of the problem from the user that reported it to me:

"just tried editing or adding my avatar and got this errorm SyntaxError: Unexpected token I in JSON at position 0"

I was unable to replicate this issue in your site.

By the way, regarding this profile avatar -> https://www.starch-smart.com/social/profile/wholefoodplantbasedspeaker , it seems like this user avatar image already missing from your server -> /httpdocs/media/com_easysocial/avatars/users/1217/.. , I already re-upload those image in your server again, it should work fine now.

May i know which user still having this issue?

The only user is named Harry selent.

I sure wish we knew what happened to remove his avatar from the server. He said he was trying to change his avatar when that happened.
