I have three profile types on my EasySocial site. My intent was for ALL people to register as "Registered Users" by default and then allow me to change their type later. I have two other types "Volunteers" and "Employess". I have received feedback from a user that got to a point in the registration process where they were asked "You are currently registering under the profile Registered Users. Switch Profile?",

This has confused them. My intent was for there to only be one profile now that they could switch to during the registration process. I have set Published Status to YES for all three profile types. I have turned All in Registration to NO for both Volunteers and Employees. So, I was surprised to find that users are being asked if they want to Switch Profiles?

I did not want to turn Published Status to NO because I assume that means the profile then goes away?
What was happening to me was that a person was signing up for the account and apparently saw an option to pick a different type of profile and that confused her. So, I have set the system to only display the one registered users profile from now on. i will just manually put people in other profiles as the need arises.

Sorry but I don't quite understand what you mean here. There's no way for users to switch profile after they register their account. The only way for them to switch profile currently is for you to do so at the back end.

Hi Mark,
Can you please do let me know how to switch profile in back end.

As my Super User (Registered before ES install) is in "registered user" profile, i need to change it to a custom profile and delete "registered user" profile.

regards
Sunny

Hello Sunny,

It's pretty straight forward and easy actually. All you need to do is to access the Users listing at the back end of EasySocial and select the users that you would like to switch the profile to. Then, click on the Switch Profile button as you can see here, http://screencast.com/t/4YS1uqNruvT

Thanks for pointing out.
That was my bad, sometimes we miss the things which are right in front of us!
possibly a matter of focus.
