Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Add them to the startposting. I thought it was not needed cause Your own Demo site has the same behaviour ;-)
You can reproduce it there too ;-)

To reproduce on my site, just stay on the dashboard afterlogin on the site. Scroll down to a posting on the stream with more then 1 comment and just wait. Sometimes 5 seconds, sometimes 30 seconds (random) but sooner or later it will some sort of refresh the stream and some comments are not visible anymore.....

I dont mean the pagination of max 5 viewable in comments. That is ok. It is really that for example there are 3 comments on a posting, that after that strange refresh, there are only 1, or in other cases none....

edit: forgot to mention: the stream is default friends/me only. You have to filter on everybody, which is called 'Iedereen' at my site....

Next to this, it appears to happen specially with older comments on postings on the stream.

an extra note when You login to my site frontend to check it out: You have to look at a streamposting which is a bit older then 30minutes so to say. A posting on the stream, from lets say 2 days or older, with comments, ranging the whole timeframe.

I am logged in right now, and I see that there are a lot of new postings......Not all posting have this strange behaviour and I am not sure, but especially the older postings, that appear on top now and then because there is a new comment or like have this strange behaviour..

I dont know when You guys will take a look, so I cannot tell which streamposting has it...but look for 2 pictures of a living room and a comment or 7 below it to see what I mean....look at it and just wait while keep watching the posting....suddenly there are not 7 or 8 comments, but only 2.....(not the only posting which has this problem, but I will try to keep this posting a bit up on the stream for You guys. Makes it easier to reproduce for You and to see what I mean

I think you should provide us that stream page which got this strange behaviour as you mentioned so that we can continuous investigate on this.

because I have tried to reproduce this few time in your site (logged in 2 user account and comment in the same stream), it seems like working fine for me, check my video link here.

Tried to reproduce it the same way You tried. With a new stream posting. No succes... Also the testposting You did this morning does not have this problem.

However, there are still a lot of postings which have this problem. So, I tried to find a way to make it easier for You too see it happen... Tried a lot, tried to find out of time has to do with it (that comments of x hours are filtered out after some seconds and so on... No succes at all...

The best and easiest way for You to see this problem, is to look at the streampostings who have this problem already.... So i tried to find a easier direct link. Found out that it also happens when watching someones profile...

I added to this reply (in the site details) a direct URL to a profile stream, which has some postings which have this problem....

There are more postings on this profile stream that have this problem, but I know for sure that the posting were You see 2 pictures of a living room in the evening has it. It is probably somewhere on top, but cannot predict this user does nothing until one of You take a look ;-). So if You dont see the living room pics on top, just scroll down a bit. Wont be far. I made the user which is provided in the starttopic, friends with this person, so You can see the stream of this profile.

p.s. Added the url to the sitedetails of this reply. Dont want that to be public on a forum. First login to the frontend of the site with the login as provider in the first posting of this forumtopic, else You wont see the profile (the link I provided)....The same as You used last time.

When You see the livingroom pictures, just wait for some time...sometimes 5 seconds...sometimes 40seconds...but iventially it will change...Instead of 5 out of 7 replies visible, there are suddenly only 2 out of 2 visible (can't predict if anything changes in the amount of replies, but You get the idea. replies are suddenly not displayed anymore). I use firefox by the way, but i have users reporting the same behaviour in Chrome.

I have no problem with giving the login codes to PHPMYADMIN, however, when trying to access it myself I found out about another problem, which might also be related to easysocial, but not sure yet...

I cannot access phpmyadmin. Also the webmail (roundcube) is not possible. When I try, I will go directly to the login page of the community telling me to login first....but I dont want to login to the site, I want phpadmin (or roundcube when using http://www.sitename.nl/roundcube)

I tried this with more of my sites and only the sites running easysocial 1.3.17 have this problem. Tried to reroute via .htaccess but no success...
I have a feeling easysocial routes a lot of pages to the login. also serverbased pages.....

Before I forget, this problem of disappearing comments also excists on the demo easysocial site of stackideas. There this disappearing comments problem also happens....This gives me the feeling that a lot of users of easysocial will have this problem.

back on topic: Do You have a solution for this phpmyadmin routing problem maybe, which only happens on my easysocial running sites?

ok. problem of strange routing is still there, but found a workaround...
dont use the webadres, but directly the ip adres of the server to access phpmyadmin

added the info to login and the url in the site details of this reply....

Actually our demo site is using very older version of Easysocial. By the way, can i have permission to help you update to latest version of Easysocial 1.3.19 first then make sure everything file is updated? Because this issues no other user encounter before, but i will investigate on this issues since I can reproduce this issues on your site.

Regarding with your second question :
I have tried to access in your link and replace with your site URL (http://www.sitename.nl/roundcube), but i hitting 404 error instead of ask me to login first. By default, system - Easysocial plugin will trigger all your Joomla login will using the Easysocial. May i know what is the menu for this ? -> roundcube

You have permission to update to 1.3.19. No problem. I have made a backup of the site just a minute ago.
Dont forget, it is a livesite, so maybe when You do, it is wise to put the site in offline mode in the site-->global configuration. Dont forget to put it back online after the update ;-)

regarding the second question: Roundcube, as wel as phpmyadmin are not menu items in joomla. You set them in the siteadministration on vps level so to say.....They are on the server. Roundcube is an webmailsoftware. It is not in joomla somewhere.

I haven't changed a thing with ftp access. So if it worked yesterday. it should work today. It can be the case that You tried to login to the ftp at the wrong time. There are 2 times a day the server is almost not reachable cause of heavy serverload during 10minutes. For me and the members it is just really slow then, but I can imagine, that when trying to connect from the other side of the world, it will generate an error when the server is too busy. I still have to call the server provider to ask if he can do this some otherway. Nevertheless, if the ftp login worked yesterday, it should work fine today cause I havent changed anything to the login codes. Right now, I am not at home, but to be sure I will create a new ftp account for You in 2 hours (then I am home ;-)). That way we rule out the ftp login problem if it still excists...

Never the less, thanks for the update so far. I saw yesterday that there were new versions, but I thought it would be wise not to update myself, cause of the outstanding issues at my site. I hope this 'stream-ajax-update-sql' problem will be fixed soon. It also happens on my testsite by the way

First tested the old ftp access info, which is provided with the first post in this topic. It works for me....
However, to be sure, I created a new ftp account for You. Added it to the site details of this reply.

Make sure that the loginname, is the full name as provided by me.That means, that the loginname looks like an email adres. Use the complete emailadres as login (including everything that is after the @)

p.s. the old one should also still work.

I'm still investigate on this, because i noticed why it show 2 comment suddenly is because some of the comment do not store the stream id, check my screenshot below.

Is it possible provide us another 2 stream which have this problem? So that we can make sure why this happening?

In this case, there are 4 comments. After some seconds, it are suddenly 3 comments. The comment of the album owner is gone then......

There are also 2 ftp login codes to some replies here in this forumtopic. If those also stopped working for You and You need one, let me know. Will create a third one for ftp then too ;-)
