Today I got informed of disappearing comments on the stream (Dashboard). I didn't notice before, but I have the same behaviour at my place. Even stronger, I asked a few members and they all experience this strange behaviours...

I attached two screenshots as example....This is what to do:

1. refresh the dashboard with F5 (browser). The stream items appear and all comments attached to them. (See screenshot 1 for 1 item I just picked as example)

2. wait a few seconds. Sometimes 2seconds, sometimes 20seconds, but suddenly the stream gets sort of an auto update and a lot of comments are not visible anymore....See screenshot 2 for the same item as screenshot 1 after this sudden streamchange. This happes with more streamitems then only this one.

I looked at Your demo site to reproduce this, and there this happens too with comments on stream items....they just dissappear after some seconds waiting.

This leaves me to the question: is this behaviour supposed to be and if it is, why does it not always do it and not on all streamitems? Sometimes really old comments remain and sometimes newest disappear and older ones remain. What is the algoritme of stream disappearing comments? and why is this algoritme executed only after some time? members see the full stream for a second of 10...and then...bam....sudden an autogenerated refresh and half of the comments are away....a bit confusing for most people..

Some comments on pictures do not disappear though. It is not the same for all stream items. Next to this, is there some documentation on how the stream behaves? Can I turn this feature off, so that all streamcomments remain visible and not only for a second or 10 after refreshing the page? and if so, how?

If this is not behaviour that is supposed to be, it is probably a bug. In that case, I would like to know how to fix it.

Take a look at your own demo site for the same behaviour ;-)

P.s. made the names, avatars and pictures black on the screenshots...
