Disable joomla comment system

I've installed Komento Pro. I have several pages where I do not want Komento on the page, such as the contact form page and about us page. I go into Komento settings and deselect the categories for those items. But when i go to the page, the Komento comment system is not there but the joomla comment system i'm guessing or K2, not sure which is present now. Is there a way to disable the installed joomla or K2 comment systems, so no comment form is present in any way?

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Never mind. Looking thru ALL the settings in the category I noticed under Item View Options that there is a comments hide/show. Set it to hide and Voila! gone. Thanks for the response.
