YouTube Video Get-Content don't work

Hi Friends !

A little probleme with ES, I cannot display YouTube Videos on the stream....

I have tryed to display this Video (Coldplay - Adventure of a Lifetime / Music Category)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtXby3twMmI
but that show me an error message when I try to view it.............

Dont work with others videos too (I have tryed many links....................... never work.....................)

By the way, attached picture to show you the probleme :-)

Hope you can solve it ( no emergency, take your time, I can live with this bug lol )

Hi Yann,

It seems like the issue is because easysocial are not able to fetch the data correctly from youtube short url. I've applied some fix inside your /media/com_easysocial/apps/user/videos/videos.php and /media/com_easysocial/apps/user/videos/controllers/process.php and perform a test on your site just now.

Can you try again and see how it goes?

IN FACT Youtube-videos work when link is submitted from a DESKTOP-COMPUTER. I have tried: its ok.... Now, THE SAME LINK submitted from my mobile device: dont work... so, the probleme only appear when I use ES from my mobile device (samsung/android/chrome browser)

I found the error (but not the solution) :

See attached picture, 2x the same link / first link send from desktop: ok // second link (the same) sent from mobile: not ok because when I see the source-code, the youtube-video-url-code is missing !!!

I think the probleme is a little bit different as the probleme of my friend Marco Ruggiero... but maybee you can solve the probleme by modify the same .php file ? Or not...

Hi Yann,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

I just tried to share the link from my android smartphone with google chrome browser but it seems like the video is displaying correctly on your site. Refer the stream url here, http://www.yannanderson.com/site/en/friends/stream/item/1221 . May I know is there a steps that I need to follow in order to replicate the issue here?

windows 7 + chrome: ko
windows 7 + IE: ko
Cache cleared

But the error still appear...

So finally, if you go to http://www.yannanderson.com/site/en/friends you can see several videos posted by marco or myself and anyone of them can be displayed.

Yes now it work fine....

I will backup your .php files, but in the futur, when I will update ES, I can be sure don't loose your modifications with the risk to see this bug appear once again =?

Yes that's correct. However it seems like this is a bug from our end and we will include this fix in the next release of easysocial.
