I was told here to now use the JCE editor button to add images since the new 3.5x version came out. I really love a lot about the new post and flow and I do think the old image upload had some UX challenges for new users. BUT now I have have a site with images in the old folder structure and JCE editor has no way of knowing so its quite an effort to now insert an image the same as before. Can we get the insert media button back pls ? Also for the video I am finding it now harder to simply place a youtube video in a post. Alternatively add a tab so that we can insert media like before pls...
Hey Calvin,

Hm, not really sure what you mean here but if you are using the legacy editor, you can actually use the new media manager to embed images too. I don't really see what issues with inserting images into the editor eh?

As for the videos, you can actually already embed video tags using the built in "embed media" tools that comes with most WYSIWYG editors. Is this not working for you?

The videos are possible - granted as they are just strings. At a push I can insert the string - but consider users will not be able to do wysiwyg easily.
I will see if I can enable legacy mode and see if I can find the way to do this.
Images cause a number of problems - uploading and the path (site management and users uploading to your root etc...where will users upload to be neat)
that the users can easily manage the image in terms of display in the blog thumbnail caption etc...that is really tough via wysiwyg.

Hey calvin,

If your users find using WYSIWYG editor difficult to use, why don't just use the new composer? It's supposed to solve these issues for you

Yes Yes Yes - didn't know about that and love the blocks which were not showing up with my previous config.
I knew you guys had a plan - I was thinking for a moment was there an 'under new management' sign on your door but no instead progress.
