Why is are my bloggers' and tags' url up under my dine-drink category when it is not under that category?

http://villemagazine.com/dine-drink/blogger/tanyab
http://villemagazine.com/dine-drink/tags/men-s-fashion
http://villemagazine.com/dine-drink/blogger/aluschei
I've checked on your current menu structure, it seems like you only created those single category menu item on your site, that is why Joomla router do not know which menu item should use to populate your blogger and tag page, so it will always use this alias 'dine-drink' append the URL.

Since most of the blogger and tag also created from someone on the site, in order to fix this you have to create a hidden menu item for Easyblog - frontpage layout , so other link like blogger and tag will refer on this menu item alias.

Hope this will help.

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying because that doesn't make any sense. I have single categories on the menu, but not just dine-drink. I have fashion, fitness, health, etc. One blogger only writes under fashion so why isn't going to http://villemagazine.com/fashion-beauty/blogger/tanyab ? And I do have a hidden menu under the main feed: http://villemagazine.com/blog-feed. "ville magazine blogs" is my default category and the one I first set up. The dine-drink is one of the last ones I set up. I create all the authors.

Actually http://villemagazine.com/fashion-beauty/blogger/tanyab is a link but it doesn't default to that... it has a link each category: http://villemagazine.com/entertainment/blogger/tannyab. Why isn't just defaulting to http://villemagazine.com/blog-feed/blogger/tannyab or removing the category all the together like http://villemagazine.com/blogger/tannyab - that's what it should go under.

Hello,

I apologize for the confusions here. Each blog posts link in EasyBlog is associated with it's respective views (menu items created in Joomla which links to it's own view)

Since you did not create any menu item that links to these authors, it tries to fall back on a menu item that links to the front page blog layout. If it doesn't find any, it would then use the current menu id it is being accessed. This is why when you click on the author link at http://villemagazine.com/dine-drink/dining , it uses "dine-drink".

To work around that, you could either create a hidden menu item called "Blog" which is the fallback menu item if EasyBlog isn't able to detect any menu for the respective views. I have created one for you and gave it the alias of "blog".

Now, all author links would default in using /blog/blogger/xxx where xxx is their permalink.

Oh thanks! I'm still a little confused, but thank you so much for fixing.

I do have one more question that may be I can fix on my own, but when I hit "publish" on a new post, it goes to a blank white screen. If I just reload the page, it goes to the home backend, but the post is published. I am just wondering why that is happening and what i need to do to fix it because it's confusing my bloggers.

Thanks!

Hi there,

It seems that you havent enabled this http://take.ms/jj3R2 php setting for your site as i hit this after composing a blog post on your site http://take.ms/WH8I6

It is required for your to enable this on your site. It would be best if you can consult with your current web hosting service provider regarding this and see how it goes
