Hello,
We utilize EasyBlog in many of our websites and we find that this file is returning a 403 error. com_easyblog/classes/wlwmanifest.xml

Would it be possible to remove this file and the link that it places in the header of the website wherever easyblog is showing? We'd like a clean and error free reports for optimized websites.

Let me know

Thanks
Nick
Hello Clive,

Sorry for the late reply. This file is used for the Windows Live Writer software to send blog to your site. If you are not using this then I think you can try to do what you want with the file. However if you feel that it's ok we can help you check this out? Just send in teh backend and FTP access and we will get right on to it.

Thanks!

Hello,
We don't need to remove the file, we'd like to remove the link it EasyBlog places in our site headers that refers to the file. The link returns an error for ALL of our pages.

Please provide a step by step on how to remove it

Thanks
Clive

Hello Clive,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Please go to the file

JOOMLA/components/com_easyblog/easyblog.php

and comment/delete the codes in line 131
$document->addHeadLink( $wlwLink , 'wlwmanifest' , 'rel' , array( 'type' => 'application/wlwmanifest+xml' ) );

Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Hey Evan,

This guide is actually pretty ancient (almost 2 years ago). In the latest version of EasyBlog, you no longer need this. You just need to copy the link to your EasyBlog page, and paste them in your WLW.

If you are still experiencing issues, can you please start a new ticket on our support forums?
