Hello

Since some time, I observe the behavior of AppCarvers (attached to TechJoomla) and I still do not understand why Stackideas done as much trust AppCarvers ?

Very many discussions on this forum show their misadventure with them.
Their products are manifestly not at the height of Stackideas.
The rhythm of updates is much too slow. Is innaceptable.
It is the same with their other site TechJoomla moreover, they are too many extensions, I think they are overwhelmed.

The biggest problem with them is the total lack of communication.
Their latest blog post back to April 18, and we are August 17 !!! This is absolutely not serious.
They do not even take the time to answer questions on their forum.
I really pity those who have purchased a license.

AppCarvers absolutely not merit the visibility that it gives Stackideas.
These are two radically different companies, totally incompatible.

Because in my opinion Stackideas is the best Joomla developer applications.
Your products are excellents and will not stop improving.
Your support is extremely reactive.
You master very well your communication. Besides, I love your teasers, like that ad features EasySocial 2.0. It's very exitant I must say.

In conclusion, the divorce between Stackideas and AppCarvers should be seriously considered.

I think we're all ready here to pay a high price if necessary, to pay for a native mobile app ios and android developed by Stackideas.

Thank you
Philippe
Hello Philippe,

Thank you for your concerns and I really appreciate your feedback on this matter. To be honest with you, I have personally known Parth and Ashwin from Techjoomla for over 7 years now. The reason that we promote them is simply because they are an expert in that area and they certainly know what they are doing in terms of native apps.

I do have to be blunt here and admit that we have almost zero experience with native mobile apps and we do not have sufficient revenue to extend our R&D in that area.

If there was enough revenue to expand, we would definitely venture into this but as it is now, we are even struggling to meet end's day with all these piracy going on

That being said, we truly understand your frustrations and with EasySocial 2.0, we have something else in mind to spice up the mobile environment (not native though)

Thank you for your reply.
I understand your situation.

But then, as you know them well, tell them they're going straight into the wall.
They are losing the confidence of everyone. Particularly as their reputation is already more than bad.

Their latest blog post back to April 18, and we are August 17 !!!
Does this seem normal ?
If you care to keep their partner, boost them please.

I must agree with Philippe, I have tried using their mobile application for ES and I must say it is terrible.. I will NOT spend the amount of money they are asking for an application that does not work the way it should with ES.

Users questions and suggestions on improving the application for a better customer experience is simply ignored.

They are quickly loosing sales.

I will initiate a discussion with the guys from Techjoomla / AppCarvers. I haven't been checking on them lately as I have been too occupied with ES2 and EB5.1, sorry about that!

Anyhow, with ES2 we will also be introducing a new mobile app (web based) and it'll look pretty close to a native app on a mobile browser (though still not a native app yet, but at least we put a foot in for now).

I am still trying to find ways to expand into the native mobile area. If I were to build a team here or work alongside with Appcarvers (even flying there to help them), just wondering what sort of investments would you guys be willing to put in?

my members (over 6000) would each be willing to put some sort of investment into an application.. As great as ES is, on a mobile device it is lacking in several areas. the most common question from my members is when an application like facebook will be available.

Appcarvers was my initial thought, but after testing there are just too many things that do not work as they should, and it is cumbersome to use. As such, I will not be spending the amount of money they are asking to create a branded application for my website.

Hi Mark,

i've been a user jomsocial before jumping ships to easysocial but i really support the guys when demanding native apps. i think those who are really serious about building a social network for the niche would invest in native apps. couple of thousands dollars is worth investing if the promised app have good number of features and works as it should.

never was interested in trying appcraver because it looked ugly, not user friendly and read a lot about the bugs but i'm ready to invest if the right app comes along .

Don't apologize for making ES 2.0 the best release yet!

Thanks Dennis, appreciate your comments. As for the rest of you guys who replied earlier, I have plenty of ideas, concepts, cool stuffs and uber cool stuffs to discuss with you guys here but it's not the right time as some other competitors who are also our customers are watching these threads very closely.

I would prefer to push something solid out first and blog about it Our goal as always, is to be a thought leader in areas where we excel in.

Since I was one of the biggest slasher when it was about Appcarvers, I feel like I should say something about this topic as well. I can not say that they do not try hard but I have to say that things are going slow. In case of bugs, all things were cleared within days. But in case of additional features it is going real slow. This makes me not to believe that the product will ever be finished and I would never invest in anything related to TechJoomla again.

But I need to say that I use EasySocial as a friend finder and not at all as a social network. My members are using the social network features but the main goal is to find new friends. Therefor the important things I am in need of have not been fulfilled by the app like a geosearch or custom registration i.e.. But in case you need the stream as a native app with groups and events, and your registration is the default one, I can say it is working and you can go for it. Even push notifications are working fine at this moment.

Anyhow, with ES2 we will also be introducing a new mobile app (web based) and it'll look pretty close to a native app on a mobile browser (though still not a native app yet, but at least we put a foot in for now).

I am getting mad, I want it now!

I am still trying to find ways to expand into the native mobile area.

Probably your head is full of ideas already but maybe there is a place for one more. What about a conversekit plugin messenger app? Giving push notifications on the mobile device and let users communicate on their mobile without sharing their real names or numbers but using it as a messenger would be amazing. For me this would be an insta-buy.

Hi Everyone,

Not sure if you guys have had a chance to see our blog post addressing this topic and what we are doing to address the concerns various users have posted on this thread as well as earlier. We have done some major changes in how we work as well as the management. I've also taken over core functions personally to ensure this does not happen again and we setup systems towards improvements. You can expect a lot of cool things to come out of the Techjoomla and AppCavers stables soon !

We have detailed our thoughts in the blog below.

https://appcarvers.com/blogs/entry/rethinking-the-easysocial-app

Do read and comment on the same.

Thanks @Sabih for testing the app. For your case specifically - since you are more focussed on Friend finding, like you said you need something more specific that makes the Friend finding function as a core primary function..

We shall be posting something really exciting later this week on the blog related to EasySocial. So stay tuned !

Regards

Parth

I was thinking of using the Appcarver for EasyBlog too hmmm but when there is no real progress as compared to the whole native mobile market going on so what to do?

This is example of GoodBarber In-App login - User Authentication feature description http://blog.goodbarber.com/Enable-the-In-App-login-with-the-new-GoodBarber-User-Authentication-feature_a574.html

A biased (towards GoodBarber) post about 17 Top App Makers to Create Your Own Mobile App – Without a Single Line of Code! https://www.websitetooltester.com/en/blog/app-makers/

It would be very nice if EasySocial could have a own native mobile app that also Appcarver could do some customization too as these app makers doing already..

But this is progress going on here

Hello Stan,

Most of these app builders I believe are simple static builders. Haven't seen one where it could ride on json requests or custom programming done.
