Why some users are ''Pending Approvals''

Hi,

I have some users who are in the section Pending Approvals and I don't know why. They don't have any usernames and there is none in my Joomla users manager. Their user names are : ''Invité'' sorry my site is in french so it would be translated as "guest". I don't want to remove them but also they are stuck there...

Can you please tell me what to change or to do to avoid this situation ?

Hello Lili,

The only reason that these users would appear under the "Pending Approval" is because they signed up on the site for a specific profile type which requires approval.

They need to confirm their email like the others but it seems that they don't have user names that is why they stuck there maybe they didn't finished their inscriptions... There is a lot of missing information in their form...

I don't know how to avoid this.

Hm, I would need to check on your site to check on these issues. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hello Lili,

I've checked your site and tried to register using my email. And you have chose Required User Activation. Means that the user have to activate the account using the verification code provided in the email. When I tired to register to you site, I got this: http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-02-02_1118.png and the verification code has been sent to my email: http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-02-02_1122.png Once I fill in the code, I am able to sign in to my account.

I know that but my question is why do they arrive there ? I just have to delete them ? As showed in the picture attached ?

Hello Lili,

I believe that this could be an issue with your caching engine (I am just suspecting) and the reasons is because all of the names that registered on the site uses the name of "Invité" but their details seems to be correct (email, etc).

I am not entirely sure how to reproduce this issue on your site because when I tried to register on the site it works fine.
