May i know what version are you using now? Upgrading from EasyBlog 3.8.x or older to 3.9.x requires a full uninstall / installation. The reason is because there are some core files which were modified in this release and running the updater would actually break things.

Rest assured that your data would not get erased when you perform an uninstall. Theme files and other core files would however get erased, so if you have made any modifications, it's best to make a backup of the modifications first.

Actually my colleague have mentioned above, if you using that Updater update the Easyblog from version 3.8.xxx to latest version 3.9.xxx, that is doesn't work, that Updater only work from version 3.9.xxx update to latest version 3.9.xx or 4.0 above. So you can download the Easyblog latest version zip file from your dashboard http://stackideas.com/dashboard .

You do not have to worry if you do not have modification, your database will not be touched. Just install the latest easyblog as usual and it will update your easyblog, as my colleague mention you could just download it at your dashboard.
