Surprised that EasyBlog 5 does not support multiple columns on the Blog landing page. This is basic layout functionality that is available from within Joomla. One can in Joomla (not EasyBlog) easily achieve this by going to the menu options for 'Category Blog >> Blog Layout.

Many Template clubs provide blog layouts with multiple columns. I think it looks much more appealing and helps to keep the viewers eye's above the fold of the page.

See the attached images for reference to the dialogue box that Joomla provides for blog layouts and 4 examples of multiple column layouts that look great and are provided by one of the template clubs.

Is there anything coming down the pipe line to remedy this?

Hi Eric,

I am sorry for the confusion here. We do have grid layout for easyblog where it only available for Nickel theme where you can change the theme from your backend > easyblog > themes. You can then change the number of column from backend > easyblog > settings > layout > listings as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/9o2fDJ5RC . Easyblog Latest Blog module also have the same feature where you can set the layout to horizontal and set how many column that you want it to display. Check my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/sYiAuN7ABfj .

Please give it a try and see how it goes.

For as many Menu items generated by EasyBlog I would have thought a 'Category Blog' with a variety of Multi-Colum layout options would have been at the top of the list as to should what StackIdea's should provide? Is there any plans of doing so in the future? Your above suggestions are great to know about but seem to me as a fix for functionality that should already exist.

Hi Eric,

Thank you for you kind suggestion. Our initial plan was to implement this feature as theme based instead of category blog settings in order to give more fluid look and does not caused conflict issue with other themes and templates. Currently we do not have plan to implement this feature as category based settings yet however we will take this into consideration and probably we will do something about this in the next major release of easyblog.

Thank you for your kind understanding.
