Hello,

We were having an issue with the EasyBlog 5.0.40 admin being really buggy and we are unable to upload cover images 95% of the time.

I just upgraded from 5.0.40 to 5.1.2 on our staging site http://staging.shareandcare.org which seemed to resolve all backend bugs and upload issues, but now we're getting a white page throughout the site and nothing loads. The blog url is http://staging.shareandcare.org/news/blog

The production site is still on 5.0.40 http://shareandcare.org/news/blog

We need either:
1. To resolve the issues on staging so we can be sure it's safe to upgrade production
and/or
2. Resolve upload issues on production

Please advise.

Thanks,
Kevin W.
Hello Chintan,

This is actually because you have a custom theme and your theme file isn't up to date. I have modified the file /components/com_easyblog/themes/shareandcare/blogs/latest/default.main.php and updated it.

Second issue, is the css file name. The current theme that you have uses this file syntax, http://take.ms/bL9nH . The new css file should be named as http://take.ms/w8ZaP . I have helped you to rename this but it seems like you are also relying on "foundry" which no longer exist on 5.1. You might need to recompile your css again with the new path.

I've got the same problem, only the site isn't using a custom theme, it's one of the stock themes. No error messages, just white screen.

Hi Brian,

It would be better if you create a new thread in order for us to check them for you. I would advice you include those thread with your backend and FTP access for further check on this issues. Thanks for your understanding.

I got it sorted (with Marks help). I am having issues with FTP so I couldn't post anything yet. Anyway, it turned out to be a weird memory issue so we bumped the memory setting in php to 64 and it's working now.
