Hello, while submitting a registration form, others and myself are receiving errors. I have two profile types that point to the same user access. The Music Fan works and Musician Profile does not.

Errors:
You are currently registering under the profile Musician Profile. Switch Profile?
Sorry, but there are some errors in your registration form.

Glen
Thank you, for figuring that out. I appreciate it. Please let me know of any new products that I could implement or software tools that my site members may be of interest in. Perhaps there could be a joint venture of some sort in the future.

Hello Glen,

We are not seeing any password from the site details. Can you provide us with your joomla backend access and FTP access so we can directly check on the issue?

Please advise.

Hello Glen,

I am unable to view the password as they are masked with the password character. Please do not copy and paste from a password field and provide us with the login credentials again.

Hello, as I type the password it is placed in as ****** so your form below may be broken. I placed it the optional information field instead.

Hello Glen,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I have tried to access http://surfforlocalmusic.com/index.php?option=com_easysocial&view=dashboard&Itemid=176&lang=en and tried to register there and upon completing the quick registration form, I am being displayed this message http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-02-14_1323.png which is the correct behavior. Am I missing anything here?

Thank you, I appreciate that.

Yes, the "Music Fan" profile does work fine. It is when a visitor tries to register under a "Musician" profile when the error occurs.

Thanks again,

Glen

Hello Glen,

Hm, sorry but not sure how to reproduce this error. Can you provide the link to us where you are trying to register on the site? I have just tried to register using the "Music Fan" profile while accessing http://surfforlocalmusic.com/index.php?option=com_easysocial&view=registration&Itemid=176&lang=en and this is what I am getting on my end here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-02-14_2318.png

Hello, I apologize for not being clearer. I have included a jpeg snap of the link to register. It is obscured by a debug popup that I cannot seem to get rid of. I tried going into the global config but the debug is off. Anyway, that is a different issue than this one. Thanks for looking into the registration error in the Musician Profile registration sign up form that is different than the "Music Fan registration.

My thoughts; seeing how we cannot resolve this, perhaps I need to have visitors register using a default form and then just have them select the appropriate profile type afterwards? I am not sure how effective this would be and if there is a page available to ask them to select a profile type?

Hello Glen,

The back end login provided doesn't seem to work any longer so I can't disable the profiler tool for you but you can disable the popup by disabling the option in Settings > System preferences > System profile

Yes, I too got locked out. I fixed that issue. I just went in and disabled that profiler tool/pop up. Thanks.
You should be able to log back in as well;

I am trying to revert back to having only one profile type for registration and give the option to change over later. The problem with that is that I do not see any way to do that. The system does not seem to have that option or does it?

Ideally I would rather have people register under the type that they need to be in right from the start.

Hi Glen,

I am sorry for the late reply.
When I tried to login to your backend, I hitting this error:
Warning
Unable to connect to LDAP server

By the way, you can switch profile from the backend. Here is the screenshot of the option in the backend: http://screencast.com/t/5hRDwjAZI .

Hope this helps.

HI Glen,

I am sorry, I believe there is no setting available for users to change their profile by themselves.

Hope this help.

OK, so the registration form for the 2nd user profile that I created called "Musician Profile" does not work. Now users, cannot switch from one to another. This forces me to do it all manually? It kind of defeats the purpose. The more I get into this easy social software, the more hidden issues arise.

You should be able to get into the back end now as I had some tech. difficulties over the weekend. They should be fixed though.

Hi Glen,

I have inspected your site and it seems like you have put recaptcha field in your site but you haven't setup it correctly. You need to put all the necessary keys in order for recaptcha to work properly: http://screencast.com/t/c1t1YlL62 . You can find this setting at EasySocial > Applications > Recaptcha. I have temporarily make the recaptcha field not required, so that all users can register with this profile. You can change this back to required once you have setup it correctly.

Please do update us back on this issue.
