Hi Mark,

I just installed ES on a test local site, i noticed that you have introduced mod_easysocial_quickpost, KUDOS! to your team.

Now while i learn and play with my local new ES install, i want to install quickpost module to my live site, can you please do let me know from where can i download the standalone module.

regards
Sunny
Hi Sunny,

Currently you cant download this module from our website. The ES quick post module should be installed during the installation process Anyway, attached is the module installer file and you can install this module via your Joomla extension manager.

Hope this help and have a nice day.

Hi Sam,

Many thanks, sorry forgot to mention that my live site is still on last version of ES, this module does not work with ES 1.3, can you please suggest changes so that it can work on ES1.3.

This is needed, because i cant upgrade to 1.4 on live site as it has so many ES dependencies in other components, which i need to look minutely into for any possible compatibility issues.

regards

Hi Sunny,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply as now is a weekend for us here

Ah, this EasySocial quick post module was developed based on EasySocial 1.4. I'm afraid you cannot install this module in your EasySocial 1.3.x

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hi Sam,

I just upgraded to es 1.4 on my local host, and was playing with Quick post module, but it seems that this module is half baked, it does not allow # tags and @ mentions.

how can i have these features in the module, # & @ are very important features for my users, can you please guide.

Hi Sunny,

Currently the the quickpost module is just a simple / quick status posting and only plain text are supported. I will see if we can add these feature into next release of EasySocial, or if next release is not possible, we will try to add the feature in future release of EasySocial

Hope this help.
