Okay, I'm sorry, but I just can't find the answer to my question. Where do we insert the Terms of Use for our users when they register? Also, on a related note, are those Terms accessed when someone uses Facebook to register, or is it bypassed? Finally, is there a field to also insert a Privacy Policy?
Hi there Tony,

Where do we insert the Terms of Use for our users when they register?

The Settings can be found here: EasySocial>Profile Types, choose profile, and go to the Custom Fields tab. In there, find the Terms field under the Standard Field options.

Also, on a related note, are those Terms accessed when someone uses Facebook to register, or is it bypassed?

Unfortunately, Facebook will bypass EasySocial's terms and conditions .

Finally, is there a field to also insert a Privacy Policy?

EasySocial has the Terms field but no Privacy Policy. You can however, put the Privacy Policies inside the Terms and conditions article as shown here http://screencast.com/t/UBtOTP3NKSkQ

I hope this helps!

Okay, I found it. However, it's not allowing me to edit the field with our Terms of Use. I've also tried selecting the article, as shown in your screen shot, but it's not saving it. How exactly am I supposed to edit and save this feature?

On a somewhat related note, since it deals with custom fields, how do I edit the Mobile Phone field to edit or remove the note that says "Set your contact number so we are able to reach you" - I know I would personally be hesitant to provide my phone number with that note attached.

And, one additional question, again related to custom fields - how do I edit the address field so that it only requests city and state? Again, I can't imagine users wanting to provide their personal address and have it show up on a map, which is how it reads when I try to register as a test.

Hi there,

Sorry for the delay of this reply.

For the article to activate, you need to enable both Use Dialog and Use Joomla article in Dialog. However, this will make the article show up in a pop-box as shown here http://screencast.com/t/1Ol0ZQBqQrD

This is the only way for EasySocial to use Joomla articles for the Terms and Conditions unfortunately.

If you do not want to use the article, you can just copy and paste it into the Terms & Conditions Text field.

how do I edit the Mobile Phone field to edit or remove the note that says "Set your contact number so we are able to reach you"

Click edit on the Mobile Number field, and under the Core section, set the Show description option to No. You can even edit the notes through the description.

how do I edit the address field so that it only requests city and state?

Click edit on the Address field and under the Requirements section, the settings are there.

I hope this helps!
