Hello SI Team

I am wondering where the Easy Blog Menu is coming from as shown in the screen shot (ES Mobile Template).
I can not see it any where in my back end under modules.
And i do not see it on My Desktop Template for my site?

kindly advise

Paul
Hey Paul,

Did you resize your browser or did you use the responsive mode to render the page? You need to use responsive mode instead of resizing the size of your browser.

Hey Mark

I do not have an iPhone or Android. Rather a rather old Windows Phone.
The thing is I saw the menu mentioned above on a friends iPhone over the weekend.
So I tired to simulate what I saw on a phone using Firefox Developer Addition with a Mobil simulator plugin.

I am attaching another screen shot with the screen not resized again using the simulator.

The EB menu still turns up and i have no idea where it is coming from?

FYI I can also click on the menu Left Hand Side of this EB menu and go down one more level.

kindly advise

Paul

Hey Paul,

Hm, perhaps you could add the following block of css codes to hide it altogether on mobile,

[gist]
#eb.is-mobile .eb-header {display: none;}
[/gist]

Hi Mark

No this does not seem to help.

I added:

/* hides EB menu on mobile devices */
#eb.is-mobile .eb-header {display: none;}

here: Joomla>Tempaltes>ESMobile>CSS>Custom.css

Cleared cache front and back end and still no joy!

What I do not get is that I would have thought that for a menu to display it need to be placed in a module.

I have no module that I can find with an EB menu!?!

kindly advise

Paul

Hi Fadhli

OK I think you guessed right.

First problem is that I have not inserted my updated FTP details above.
So I think you were making changes to an old installation of my site.

Any way this is weird.
I spent a lot of time trying to speed up my site.
Every thing from:

Joomla House Keeping
My SQL House Keeping
Cache Tweaks
Server Tweaks
and CDN.

One of the things I tried was JCH Optimize Pro. (Plugin)
But after weeks of playing with it I decided that it was more trouble than it was worth.
It seems to turn untimely slow down my site.

Bottom line:

When I turn JCH Optimize Pro on it removes the EB menu.
When I turn JCH Optimize Pro off the menu turn up!?!?!

JCH has a clear cache function which I have obviously tried but this does not seem to make a difference.
I have also cleared the Joomla Cache.
Ditto Cloud Flare Cache.

FYI I will also start a separate ticket with respect to Cache as there is also some thing weird going on there.

https://stackideas.com/forums/cache-weirdness-and-site-speed

I have now updated the FTP site details above...

And please kindly tell me where I can update my site details some where on my SI back end?
(So that they will be automatically up to date when I post a new question)

Maybe you can think of something.

I am wondering if it is possible that there a (EB Menu) module that was removed whilst it was active.

Not sure if that makes any sense!?!

thanks

Paul
