I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Actually most of the checking is based on global setting disable friend feature or under user ACL section, if you would like to have this friend feature but do not want to display fiend menu on the user profile page, i will suggest you modify the code from this file JoomlaFolder/components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/helpers/cover/user.php

You can refer on my attached screenshot below and duplicate this user.php file then override into your current template file location.
JoomlaFolder/templates/YourCurrentTemplate/html/com_easysocial/helpers/cover/user.php
