Hi,

Where can i change the appearance or on/off module settings of the Dashboard sidebar modules?

Jasper
Not really sure which section are you referring to here but on the dashboard sidebar, some of them are modules while some of them are widgets (EasySocial Widgets).

You need to let me know which section you want to modify

Hi,

Yes i meant the widgets.
I already found out a bit i think. After login, on the dashboard, the Event widget does show the Events i am attending to, right? I expect this on my profile but not on the dashboard. Here i want to list all upcoming events.

I probs can install the module for that and disable the widget but then i will loose that widget as well on my profile.

Hey Jasper,

The "Events" app for users displays events on the dashboard and the profile as well. However, on the dashboard, it shows upcoming events while on the profile, every other user could see your profile and view events that:

1. You have created
2. You are attending

Hi,

I have waited a bit to see what's happening with the events widget.
What i see now is that the upcoming event is displayed but probably only within a specific time period, is that right?

Because on the events page i have more events but these are not shown yet.

Is there a way to set the event upcoming time ?

Hi Jasper,

By default the widget will only show upcoming event within 7 days from today. You can change this behavior by going to your backend > easysocial > applications > events (users), http://screencast.com/t/h0j3TlurH > widgets > upcoming event days, http://screencast.com/t/07E7LqbSi .

Hope these help.

Hi Ezrul,

That worked, thanks.

I have the same question for the groups widget on the dashboard, it's not displaying any general groups.
In my profile i can understand that only my membergroups are displayed, but on the dashboard i expect all groups available to be visible.

Hi Jasper,

The group widget in the dashboard are actually the same with the one in your profile except group widget in your profile will allow other user to be able to see the group that you are joining.

The group widget in your dashboard is for you to manage your groups and other groups that you joined without having other user to be able to see the information.

Currently the only way to see all the group listings are through the groups menu in easysocial.

Hope you understand.
