Can you update your site backend and FTP access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?

No rush if it's your weekend. Everything looks good on your video, but I don't have that functionality in mine. No screen movement at all, and it's been that way since the install 18 months ago. I'm still able to post articles, but it's annoying.

Perhaps you can try this following suggestion and see whether can help much you here about this issue?

1. Edit your backend menu > EasyArticles » Dashboard » Dashboard

2. Set your template style to Protostar template

Since you didn't provide us with your site backend access so we unable to know where went wrong, it might be conflict some styling with your current template.
