When we perform a search for a user they come up in the Search box but when we click on them we are taken to our home information and not to their profile. What setting am I missing as it was working earlier?
Hello Brad,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

I will try and setup a firewall rule tomorrow to allow external access to our site as it's currently an intranet and only available externally over a VPN connection. I will then submit those credentials to you. Thanks!

Would you be able to provide an IP address (or range) that we could add to our rule for some additional security? Thanks!

A couple of other things that might all be related that we're seeing now, as well.

* When I do get a change to Add a Friend, occasionally I'm told that I've reached my Friend Limit. I don't recall setting this and at this time only have one friend on this site.
* When trying to edit my Avatar from the front end Upload we receive an Error - Method uploadAvatar does not exist. However, I can do it under My Profile, About, Appearance and it works on the
backend. I can get to the upload avatar box and browse for a photo for a group from the front-end with the edit Avatar but it never uploads and don't receive any error messages.
* If I look at Photos from my Profile, I get a message about "You are trying to view an invalid album"

Thanks

I will do that as soon as I'm back in the office. Probably 90 minutes from now or so.

Brad, for some reason I cannot access the site now Probably because my IP Address changed (I am on dynamic ip address). Can you please add 210.195.112.113 or temporarily disable such restrictions?

We've rebuilt from the ground up and things were looking good on being able to search for people and seeing their profile. I finally committed some time this afternoon and went through all the settings for EasySocial, EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss to turn off Social Integration outside of the company and to tie all the integration together for the products. Now, we're back to where when I search for a person it finds them but when I click to see their profile I'm taken back to my Home rather than seeing their Profile so that people can friend them. Everything else is looking pretty good and would love to roll it out to users except one of the key things isn't working again. Any chance that Blog, Discuss or Komento would have anything to do with this in regards to integration settings or is it more likely some combination of settings in EasySocial? Can I reset all settings back to default?

We've imported settings from a copy that works into the site that doesn't and that didn't fix it. We've uninstalled Blog, Discuss and Komento and that didn't allow it to work. Just trying some different things to figure out why that part quit working.

When we look at the site that works we see the URL http://IP/joomla/index.php/community/profile/hmiller and we can see the profile of the user. When I do that URL on this site it always goes back to my dashboard.

I think we've narrowed it down a little further now. It seems as long as the user updates their appearance from the front end their profile can be viewed when you search for them. If we change their picture on the backside (which is what we'd like to do) their profile is no longer viewable on the front-end. Deleting them and then letting them re-enroll and update their picture from the front-end puts them back in a working status.

What we're seeing is after the user has a avatar added on the backend, the URL for the user profile changes to http://10.0.1.142/joomla/index.php/fsbt-social-connections/community/profile/23, where prior to the adding the avatar on the backend the URL was http://10.0.1.142/joomla/index.php/fsbt-social-connections/community/profile/hmiller. The ID number for this user is 754 so I have no idea where the 23 is coming from. If I attempt to go to the original URL (http://10.0.1.142/joomla/index.php/fsbt-social-connections/community/profile/hmiller) I don't see it either. So at that point, we delete the user, have them sign back in and then update from the front-end and things are good. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hello Brad,

To be honest, I really have no idea what is going on the site unless I can really test it Is this the same issue as posted in http://stackideas.com/forums/easysocial-problems-after-updating-easyblog-to-3-9-15275 ?

Not really. The only issue we seem to be having now is if we change their avatar on the back-end it somehow gets a different profile ID. I can add another IP address (I've added the two you've provided, plus the business one) but can't really open it wide open due to the industry we're in. I might see if I can clone it and run it on a virtual machine elsewhere as there's not a lot of information on it at this time. Worse case, we just won't edit the user from the back-end and either upload the 130 profile pictures and have them select it or provide it to them. Thanks!

Hello Brad,

Can you please start a new thread if you don't mind and provide us with the necessary access as well as the FTP? I will address this in that post instead as this thread has been pretty long and I think it consists of multiple different issues which is a little confusing

Will do. I'll see if we can find a temporary way to place a copy elsewhere so we don't have to jump through so many hurdles at work to open up the site for access as it's been a real challenge with the 14 hour difference in our times. We appreciate the effort being made to address our problems. Thanks, again.
