If you set the title of a Profile Type to the name "Parent" - it will show up on the page as "Self" instead of "Parent" on the registration page where you select the profile you wish to register under.
Got it. Thanks. I will bring this up with Rockettheme. My quick fix is to name the title something different like "Parent/Guardian"...

Hi,

Hmm I can't seem to reproduce this. Could you please provide us your site's access and FTP so that I can check on this? It is most likely just a language string conflict and I would have to check if there are any language strings defined that way.

Thanks for looking into.

If you change the title of the profile field from "Parent" to something like "Parent of Student" - then it will show correctly.

Site info included below.

Please let me know when you are finished checking so that I can disable the temp accounts...

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the access and the temp accounts.

The FTP account needs to be configured to be on the rot of the site anyway because I am getting an empty folder with the account now.

Hi,

Hmm I am able to access to the root now but your site seems to be down. I am afraid you might have misconfigured the FTP account because the public_html doesn't seem to be a "folder" now on your site.

Give me a few min - I'm going to need to rebuild the site from a backup... public folder is gone.

OK - done. I love Akeeba and Amazon S3... saved my bacon. Wasn't your fault. Cpanel will suggest deleting folder associated with ftp account. I hit yes without thinking about it. Ready for you to check now. Problem still exists.

Hi,

Ah I've managed to track down where the language conflict is coming from.

It seems like your template's language file is defining it at /templates/rt_osmosis/language/en-GB/en-GB.tpl_rt_osmosis.ini line 128.

You can choose to remove it but I am not sure if removing that line affects your template in any way or not.

(I personally think that this is not a good practice by the template to define such general language texts. We usually prefix it with an identifier such as COM_EASYSOCIAL_*)

You might want to consult the template provider on this string to see where they stand on the word Parent being translated to Self.
