When I search the forum, I saw a reference to a "Bookmarking" feature, but I do not see this anywhere on the system. If it is available, what is it and how do I activate it?

I am seeking a feature that when I view a member's profile, I can bookmark that person. The link to that profile is then listed in a bookmarks file to which I can refer.
Hello William Matson,

I'm not sure which reference of "Bookmarking feature" are you referring to in our forum?
Do you mind to guide me if I misinterpret your means?

May I suggest that using "Follow User" will best suit towards your mention feature

Do let me know if my guide help you out?

Ok. I did not realize that Bookmarks appeared on my Dashboard view.

Is it possible for me to follow someone without that person being notified that I am following him?

Also, is it possible to review a list of all the people I am following?

@William, not sure about your first question. As for viewing all of who you are following, you can see the "following app" on the profile with a link to all the people you are following.

OK. I see the Followers link in the dropdown menu. Under Social Graph, the Following app appears. This is what I was seeking. Thank you.

Regarding my first question
When I follow someone, they see my profile link when they look at their Followers. Is it possible for me to follow someone without my profile link appearing on their Followers listing?

Go to Joomla's admin area > EasySocial > Applications > Type "Followers" > Profile Tab > Display Followers Widget
Set the option to "no" as seen here:

Thank you for your assistance. I now see that I can disable the Followers display for all members.

However, what I had in mind was this situation:
I want to follow a particular member, but do not want that member to know that I am following him. With other members, I may want them know that I am following them.

By disabling the Followers app, then I would lose this ability to be selective.

Some privacy setting would be able to control this on an individual basis. As an example of how this might work, when I click the "Follow" link, a popup then allows me to select "Public Follow" (the default condition) or "Private Follow"

I now realize that it is unlikely that this capability is offered in the core product. The Stackideas developers may wish to consider adding the ability to finetune the privacy settings on some of the apps.

I've got a simpler solution for this. As of now the privacy section of "privacy settings" has only one option that allows you to control who can see who you are following. If a second option "Following view" was added, this would allow you to only show up on other people's "following" list if the permissions allow. You can see my proposal here:

By setting it to custom, I can specify who I want to see that I am following. So for example if William didn't want Josh to see that Josh is being followed but does want Mark to know that Mark is being followed he could simply put "Mark" in as one of the custom users. This method uses the current EasySocial practices and is logically placed without the need for extra dialog choices when following.
