Just out of curiousity I would like to know how many users EasySocial can handle at all? Do you know a member count of the biggest commmunity made with EasySocial?

As long your server can handle large number of users, EasySocial should be able to run fine. Also, you might want to check how many concurrent logged in users that your server can handle
I do come across some of our customers their site has about 3k users. Not sure if that consider a lot for you
