All of a sudden I see a request verification option in the gear drop down. When clicked it says admin can verify you.

How has this appeared?

How can it be used as it doesnt include any way to verify you other than send you a message which could be anything?

Where is this turned on or off?

I did look at the documentation but cant find anything related to it.

Thanks.
Hi Jason,

The is a new feature in EasySocial 2.1 and can be configured here(http://take.ms/7jMN4).

Currently that is the only way for a user to be verified. As for its uses, it's mainly to let a user profile have an authentic and credible look as mentioned while you request for verification(http://take.ms/ggj0b).

Thanks for letting me know. For now I will not use as I cant think of a way to verify accurately unless its a personal friend. It would be good to have an option to ask a friend to verify you maybe?

Hey Jason,

One of the reasons the verifier is limited to site admin is because other users know they are legit users of the site.

If you extend this functionality to friends for example, it means that normal users can verify other users. This may not sit well with other users as the verification may not be as credible.

But you do have a point as well with regards to allowing other designated users to verify users. If that's the case, feel free to post this idea into EasySocial's feature request category.
