What is process to update from EasyBlog 3.9 to 5?

What is the process to update from EasyBlog 3.9 to EasyBlog 5?
The "updater" in EasyBlog 3.9.24862 does not show the EasyBlog 5 update.
The Dashboard page on the stackideas website shows 3 options: Launcher, Component, and Full Package.
I am unsure what the best way to update is? Please provide instructions, thank you.

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Yes, the Easyblog 3.9 updater is not working for upgrade to Easyblog 5, so you have to download the launcher/full installer from your dashboard then upload the installer through Joomla installer page, Hope this help.

Hello Mark,

It depends on how urls were being generated currently. However, I strongly encourage users to test this on a staging / development site first. The reason is because EasyBlog 5 is a major version update and almost 80% of the codes are brand new and 100% of the design is entirely facelifted.

Some users prefer it while some others still trying to get a hang of the new composer. Installing it on a development / staging site would give you a better idea of how EasyBlog 5 can empower your current site
