Folks,

I am trying to integrate an EasyBlog with a FaceBook Page (business). I have successfully managed to get auto posting to work to the FaceBook Page even though the documentation is very out-of-date when compared to the current FaceBook application UI.

I would very much like to accomplish the following:
1) Have Blog likes post on the FaceBook Page (not the Owner's Timeline). Currently if a user like a blog entry, the like is posted to the Facebook Page's Owner's page and not the Facebook Page itself.
2) I would like for comments posted in EasyBlog to be auto-posted to the same article on the FaceBook Page (again not the Owner's Timeline).
3) I would like for comments posted to the Facebook article to be posted on the EasyBlog entry.

ALSO: In Easyblog Settings under FaceBook Likes: Admin ID, should I put the ID of the Owner's Timeline or the ID for the FaceBook Page? The help text seems to indicate that I should put the Owner's ID, but this causes likes to be posted on the Owner's Timeline.

Could someone please provide me with clear steps to accomplish my goals.

Regards,
Myra
Hello Myra,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Please find the response to your inquiries below:

>> 1) Have Blog likes post on the FaceBook Page (not the Owner's Timeline).
>> Currently if a user like a blog entry, the like is posted to the Facebook Page's Owner's page and not the Facebook Page itself.
Unfortunately this is not possible currently and Facebook does not actually allow that to happen. There is no way to associate the likes button with a Facebook page itself.

>> 2) I would like for comments posted in EasyBlog to be auto-posted to the same article on the FaceBook Page (again not the Owner's Timeline).
I am sorry but unfortunately there's no way to associate this.

>> 3) I would like for comments posted to the Facebook article to be posted on the EasyBlog entry.
I am sorry but unfortunately there's no way to associate this.

Currently the integrations that EasyBlog provides to your Facebook page is when you post a new blog post, it automatically posts to your Facebook page as a stream item. Similar like how you would want to share a URL on Facebook. Apart from that, the API that Facebook provides is pretty restrictive and there is no way we can achieve the above unfortunately.

For the admin id, this would be your Facebook id instead of the page.
