I'm still trying to understand what assigned posts menu item is supposed to do.

I posted a test question, hen logged in as publisher, don't see anything in assigned posts.

How does one assign a post?
Hello Ed,

Sorry for late reply to this,
The "Assigned posts" mean is if you're the admin, the admin have the authority to assign which moderator to control the discussion it. See my screenshot below :
1. ) http://screencast.com/t/rl17xmhIo
2) http://screencast.com/t/XAlknmX2rszn
Hope this helpful.

When I login as super admin there isn't posts show up. See the image, I'm logged in as super admin and there are no posts showing.

Furthermore, isn't that a security issue to give a "moderator" super admin privileges? Then they have access to everything in the back end.

Hello Ed,

I checked in your backend > Easydiscuss > Discussion site, it seems like all your post is unpublished, so i help you published the 2 discussion post for testing, see my screenshot -> http://screencast.com/t/FaRQ3USE6XWx , it already appear in your side.

Regarding your 2nd issues :
i checked your side, the "Assign" button and "Moderate" button is doesn't work at all now, because the foundry 2.1 conflict with the foundry 3.1. So we already fixed it on our next release EasyDiscuss beta 2, if you would like to test our EasyDiscuss beta 2, i can help you install it and see how it goes. Can i ask this website ( http://relevantideas.com/ask-experts ) is your Live site?

In regard to the first issue.

How do you configure a moderator type user without having them go into the back end to moderate a post. Example can a moderator see a list of questions that need to be moderated on the front end? Similar to a forum moderator functionality where moderators can moderate posts thought the front end.

Maybe I'm not completely understanding how easy discuss works:
To me easydiscuss has similar functions as a forum. A guest can register then become a registered user. The user then logs in and post a thread or question.
The moderator logs in the front end and sees a list of threads or question that need to be moderated, assigned to another moderator or responded to. The moderated can then make the thread or question visible to the public. But the moderator should no have to login to the back end because they are not site administrators.

That is how I'm trying to configure easy discuss. Can it work this way? Is there a moderator specific menu?

Currently the moderator has to be given admin privileges which puts your site at risk, what if they accidentally delete delete something in Joomla admin panel.

Hello Ed,

I'm sorry that we still haven't add this moderated approval feature in the front end, make a lot of user confusing and inconvenience.
Yes, I'm agree what you said that. In the temporary solution is you can set the permission which file can't let moderator to open it, i will guide you how to do this :
Example : The moderator user is under Manager, then i want to set the permission which file they only can view, which file they can't be view
Step 1 : http://screencast.com/t/cjWJTcDICf
Step 2 : http://screencast.com/t/0PZlmfE3i
But it not only set the permission on this EasyDiscuss option side, if you want to be more secure for moderator access in your Joomla backend side, you need to set all the menu permission option, please let us know if you need further assistance.
