While Optimising our blog, I found this Link

http://etial.com/?rsd=RealSimpleDiscovery

What does it actually do and helps for the blog?
This clearly indicates what blog component am I running and there are lots of know vulnerabilities out there in your component as per few bug-reporting community,

Isn't it pity if some hacker knows it and tries to get SQL injection to my site to break it for unauthorised access?

Please clarify is it needed? or it is for your reference for trackback?
if not needed how to remove it.

What are benefits if its kept as it is?
and what are cons if I remove it?

Thanks
Hello Govind,

Sorry for late reply to this,
That's strange, may i know which blog post come out this link?
Also, could you mind provide us with a temporary access to your Joomla backend (as admin) and an FTP access so we can check that issue and see where the problem is coming from?
Please advise.

Can you give me an example, I am not sure of this feature what does it do, and how it benefits me.
I want to know more about your remote publishing, why does that need this RSD?

Hello,

The RSD html codes does not affect anything on your site. It is meant to be identified by tools such as Windows Live Writer or any other remote publishing tool. Without these html tags, Windows Live Writer or these tools wouldn't be able to detect that your blog supports remote publishing. Learn more about it here, http://www.red-sweater.com/blog/293/really-simple-discovery
