What does the Fields area in the Easyblog used for?

Im new to easyblog and blogging in general, and was wondering what the Fields area in the Easyblog is used for or what is the purpose for this?

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

What this custom field purpose in Easyblog is allow blogger add some minor additional fields and display more information in the blog entry view for example :
- Who you were with?
- When did it take place?
