Hi,

I want to put a section in registration/profile that shows experience e.g.

Language: Level

English Basic
Intermediate
Fluent

or

Industry Years

Consumer Goods 1-40

Users can then add multiple Languages or Industries - what field type do I use? I tried the documentation but it doesnt really explain what the fields do, though some are obvious.
Hi there,

I would suggest you to use "Dropdown List" if you required the user to put only one choice for example http://prntscr.com/cd60am. But, you have to create for them upon creating this fields.

As for multiple selection/choices, i would recommend you to use "Multi Textbox" or "Checkboxes" as shown http://prntscr.com/cd5yzn. As for "Checkboxes", you have to create this upon creating and for "Multi Textbox", user will key-in them by themselves.

Please give it a try and see how it goes.

note: This only suggestion, as you can try any other fields as there are many options to be used in order to fulfill user's need.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion but the multiple text box plus checkboxes the 2 factors are not connected?

So what Im looking for was:

English Expert
Malay Basic
Chinese (Mandarin) Basic

or

Project Management 5 years
Security 10 Years
Java 1 year

So each person can enter multiple languages and skills and each one is connected to a level of expertise or experience

At the moment I've tried multi list but I cannot add in years of experience or level.

It seems that we cannot achieve that currently , but you can do some modification for customs fields by referencing to this documentations belows -->
