I have been doing some SEO work on my website and during a recent crawl of my site, I found several links, such as https://lawenforcement.social/tips-and-tricks/categories/tips-and-tricks which I have no idea how they were made or where they are originating from, or if I clicked on some setting to make this odd link. It should be https://lawenforcement.social/categories/tips-and-tricks, but as you can see it's adding the category name BOTH in front of and after "category." Do you know how this might me happening?
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I think you already found the setting to switch Easyblog routing to use Joomla, you can check my attached screenshot below.

Can you check again with your Easyblog URL is it work correctly now?

Can I have the permission to purge all of your Easyblog SEF URL from Sh404sef component?

Because I suspect it cached old SEF URL in previously.

Hi Arlex,
Yes you can. Just so you know, I went into the blogging menu and modified the "blog" category listing to a menu item alias, and redirected it to blog/categories/blogging, which would be the correct URL, but this doesn't sound right creating an alias for an item that technically doesn't exist? Confused!

Hey Mike,

After checked further, It seems like that is correct URL format if using Sh404sef on the site, it will show this format e.g. Site.com/MenuAlias/DefaultViewName/CategoryAlias , so sh404sef can able to identify what is this view page.

If you would like to customise this SEF URL, you can edit it through this Sh404sef extension (screenshot : https://take.ms/XhtIy ).

May i know what is the reason you would like to use Sh404sef for Easyblog? Because the default Easyblog SEF URL should be able to achieve this URL format https://lawenforcement.social/categories/tips-and-tricks

Actually what is the reason you would like to create this 'blogging' category under menu alias type?
Based on what i checked, you link it to the same menu item right?

If yes, you should create another menu item for "All Categories ยป (Categories) Single Category" and set to 'blogging' category, so it will show the same URL format like other single category page.

Hi Arlex,
Do you know how I get sh404SEF to not render URL's for EasyBlog? Is there a setting or something which I can turn it off for EasyBlog that you know of?
