i am trying to install EB on a sandbox site to try it out and configure before putting it on production site

however on both the attempts (local and a live server) i get the following error after install

Warning: include_once(/home/content/91/11886191/html/sitename/administrator/components/com_easyblog/tables/menu.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/91/11886191/html/sitename/administrator/components/com_easyblog/tables/table.php on line 51

Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/content/91/11886191/html/sitename/administrator/components/com_easyblog/tables/menu.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5_3/lib/php') in /home/content/91/11886191/html/sitename/administrator/components/com_easyblog/tables/table.php on line 51

Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::setLocation() in /home/content/91/11886191/html/sitename/tmp/install_5287991475902/admin/install.defaultvalue.php on line 159

the thing is that when i go into admin joomla EB seems to be installed just fine ..... i can import articles from joomla, add new posts, change themes etc etc. have not found anything that did not function but warnings and especially a FATA error make me a bit reluctant to promote to production
Hello Julius,

Sorry for late reply to this,
If you re-install the Easyblog without any error mean that it should work fine, it doesn't harm in your production side.
If the error come out again after re-installed, please refer back to us (just wait for our solution). We're still investigate where the error come from, because that error was shown it when the fresh installation of easyblog in Joomla 3.2. Hope this help.

Hello Julius,

Sorry for the late reply. i would need to take a look at your test site. Is it possible to allow us backend and FTP access so that we can check out your issue? Please advice.

Thanks!

I'm pretty new to all this, and bought EasyBlog bundle today. I'm seeing the exact same error as Julius has posted above, with a completely fresh install of Joomla on Siteground - so I will be interested to hear of findings and (hopefully) a fix.

Hello Eric,
I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
Could you please provide me with a temporary access to your Joomla backend (as admin) and an FTP access so I can check that issue and see where the problem is coming from?

No problem, I'm pleasantly surprised to get any reply at a weekend :-)
Site admin login details attached. I haven't got ftp set up yet (I used web host's own script to install Joomla) - if I set up ftp access for you to investigate, what folder directory should I set it to? Somewhere below public_html?

Hello Eric,

I already help you re-install Easyblog again, it work fine now without any error.
Yes, if you provide us your FTP next time, you can set it which your joomla folder and mention which folder is your current side e.g. public_html/...
Hope this helpful.

Arlex - you say you have reinstalled, but can you tell us what is the actual fix so we can resolve (or avoid) ourselves without help next time? Perhaps the error is only seen on first install to a fresh site, not on reinstall to an existing site?

I have this error on my local PC XAMPP setup as well, and want to know how to resolve myself both locally and if I again delete my Joomla at the remote web host and start from fresh (likely, as I'm testing stuff out at the moment and not yet live).

@Eric No problem, I'm pleasantly surprised to get any reply at a weekend :-) hear hear indeed !!!!

I have attached admin url (my error should have know better when posting the details ...)

and sorry for the late reply too it was a weekend here in amsterdam as well

i understand you have identified it as a bug. does that mean that install cannot be used? because as i said when i go to the joomla backend after moving away from the error i can work with EB and see no problems.
Is it better to wait for an update or can i use on a production site ? please advise ?

regds, julius
