Warning and error when saving a post

When saving a post in EasyBlog I get a warning and a fatal error message (see under additional information). Luckily when I open the site the post (or changes to the post) are saved. So my question is just how to get rid of the warning and error message (and any other problems under the hood).
Recent changes to the site: updated to Joomla 3.7.0 and EasyBlog 5.1.7.

Hm, this is odd as I am unable to replicate this locally. There is a possibility that this error is coming from the smart search plugin for EasyBlog as the upgrade probably did not replace the file (perhaps due to permission issues).

Could you try to disable the plugin "Smart Search - EasyBlog" and try again? If the problem still persists, is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to the site to check on this?
