Want to remove the friend mechanism

Hi,

I work on a community site where all users are well known to the others (a - big - family website).
The notion of "friends" is a non-sense in this case. There will be around two hundred of users only in the site, and I dont want "diplomatic incidents" cause aunt X as not ask nephew Y to be her friend...

So I just need the follower mechanism. Is it possible to completly remove the friends connections ?

In the case of negative reply, is it possible to make users automatically friends with all others ? And, in this case :

  • to forbid users to change their list of friends ?
  • to remove all the links and icons related to friends in the dashboard ?

I am sorry but it is not possible to do so and it require a lot of customization in order to achieve this.

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

We do not have the built in option to make everyone become friends with everyone upon registration in easysocial. However one of our partner actually do create an apps called easysocial auto friend but I'm not quite sure if that will fulfill the requirement of yours.
